But we can draft a guy who would be 7 years younger. I'm not anti cousins at all I'm just trying to decipher if he is a good investment.
Depends on how much worth we put on the rookies in the draft. If the team leadership thinks a rookie after 2 years can be better than Cousins, then go for a rookie. And that's the real dilemma. I think Cousins is worth a lot, but is he worth more than a prospect?
And time is money, I could have been investing in the latest big stock but instead I was investing my time in the worst stock of all... my ny jets fandom
No way would I prefer Winston or Mariota over Cousins. Even Stafford doesn't really appeal. I think Cousins will go to Denver, which hopefully leaves the Jets open to grab a QB in the draft.
I've made perfect sense. You just don't agree, which is fine. I know who I like and who I don't like, and back up my opinions up with information I've gathered.
i didn't edit anything. the mods did. i'm more then OK putting you on blast for your behavior but apparently the mods don't allow it so it is what it is. anyway enjoy being the 1 and only person on my ignore list from now on
Denver could be being extremely proactive to avoid a bidding war w. the jets to the point where maybe they throw the Skins a mid round pick to avoid such a bidding war & to be able to negotiate w. Cousins w. Washington's approval prior to March. Wouldn't be surprised if this is what happens.
We're just gonna have to make a trade...it's that simple. We may not have quite the ammo of Buffalo or some other teams looking to move up...but we're also a much shallower drop down for any team looking to move back. Additionally we could use the excess cap space in the same manner the Browns did w. Osweiller last year to accrue more draft picks to create a suitable package to move up.
As far as I can see on that list most have not fared any better than Cousins. And putting Rodgers and Ryan in there.,what's the point? They're not playing for any other team anyway. No argument for making a list up that contains players that are unavailable anyway. Garroppolo will be staying put with the 49'ers.
Good point, but I doubt that would be necessary. Cousins has already made more money than he could spend in two lifetimes. He has been very clear that he's not looking for a huge pay day and that he plans to go to a team where he can win. Between the Jets, Browns and Broncos, it's no contest. If he's true to his word, then he'll take a lot less to sign with the Broncos (Thank God!!!!).
Sorry you feel that way, SGB. To be perfectly honest, you're only putting yourself "on blast" by exposing yourself as someone who lacks interpersonal skills. Now go take your proverbial ball and go home. Good luck. Lol
Oh don’t worry. The Broncos will trade out and the Bills will move 1 pick ahead of us at #5 and take our coveted QB.
If that happens then Mac needs to be tarred and feathered immediately. Bills can offer 2 late firsts, jets can offer a high first and a high second rounder, we have the ammo to outbid them, if we don't it's on Macs shoulders
Mac is risk averse and will lean towards choosing the SAFE path. Which means spend money on Cousins. This way he doesn't have to trade, nor does he have to worry about whiffing on his 3rd qb in his 4th draft. He won't do what's best for the future. He will look out for his own neck in the short term, and that is by delivering the qb of popular choice, Kirk Cousins. This almost feels like Revis in 2015.
