FWIW, I'd trust Von Miller over Cowherd or Manish. https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/01/31/broncos-von-miller-kirk-cousins-free-agent
Thats OK we gonna call up Chad Pennington to talk to Kirk. Gonna lock that shit up brothen. No one says no to Chad.
I haven't cited anyone, you have. I know who I like and it's not Alex Smith. I don't want any part of an older game manager at 70 mil guaranteed. You and CC do. Try making sense
He's not a FA yet, how can they be close? Even the Alex Smith deal, can't become official until after March 14.
true but in the same sense the niners hated him. they got rid of him for kaepernick. smith is a good player, he's smart a good leader a respected vet, but he's also physically limited. he reminds me a lot of chad before the injury. Clearly though KC had no issues dumping him either. that's twice he's been traded away in his career. Von miller is practically begging for cousins in denver
Ok so I was thinking about where Kirk ranked among NFL QB's but instead I decided to make a list to see how many Quarterbacks I would want on my team over Kirk cousins for the next 5 years, I pretty much tossed aside anybody over 35 so that's why Brady and others aren't listed. 1. Wilson: 29 yrs 2. Wentz: 25 yrs 3.Rodgers 34 yrs( might only have 3 or 4 years left but probably has a Super Bowl left in him) 4.Luck: 28 yrs. ( if healthy, drops otherwise) 5. Jimmy G: 26 yrs 6.Newton: 28 yrs 7.Carr: 26 yrs 8.Watson: 22 yrs 9.Winston: 24 yrs 10.Goff: 23 yrs 11.Prescott: 24 yrs 12.Rosen: Rookie 13. Darnold: Rookie 14. Mariota: 24 yrs 15. Stafford: 29 yrs 16. Mahomes: 22 yrs 16. Ryan: 32 yrs 17. Mayfield: Rookie( this one will be unpopular but just my honest opinion) 18. Cousins: 29 yrs So on my list he falls in at 18, I think on any rational list he would fall somewhere between 13-18, is it worth it to give all of our money to someone who would possibly not even be in the top half of the NFL QB pool for the next 5 years?
I think it’s only tampering if the victim team cares about it. If Washington has Smith agreed to an extension, they obviously have no need for Kirk.. so is it possible they granted him the right to negotiate with other teams?
Aren't basically all of those guys unavailable, except the rookies? So it's a moot point as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, I think a few other teams will go for Cousins and I doubt the Jets are on his list of places he'd like to go.
True but I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to splurge on such a player. I'm very undecided on whether we should go for him or not.
Well, we keep going up the list. We can't get, let's say, the first 18 guys on it, let's get number 19. I mean, look at the QBs in this year's playoffs. I'd rather have Cousins instead of the majority of those guys.
