I don't think they lowballed him . . . Because I don't think he's that good! As a Jets fan, I have no interest in making him the highest paid QB in the league. And, you know what's funny? Neither does his own team!

 

Asking price was a 2nd, giving up a pick for Alex Smith, who needs a perfect offense tailored around him is counter productive.

 

Cousins had excellent years as a starter the last 3 years, he must be missing something on that team. His numbers never translated to much.

There is something lacking with the redskins that did not translate into more playoff appearances.

 

2017:

- Injuries on the offensive line (majority of the starters were out)
- First round pick out for the year (Jonathan Allen was beasting before he got hurt)
- Pryor regressed
- Best offensive weapon; Jordan Reed rarely plays. Garcon and Jackson left.

They won the division, Kirk's first year as a starter. 2016, extremely competitive division. Giants w/ their elite defense and the Cowboys. Far better teams. Bad luck and bad transactions the last 2 years.

 

Even if this were true, you would then have to believe that we possess whatever the Redskins lacked. Otherwise how can we expect any better here? This team needs a lot of work outside of the QB spot.

 

It will be more of the same, I'm not expecting any success with the jets if he signed here, unless Jets draft Saquan Barkley with the number 6 pick and address the oline with both of their second round picks or FA.

 

I forgot about this ... Andy Reid is playing the Redskins like fools again, he did this to them last time with an old regressing McNabb, getting a 2nd rounder out of him. God I feel bad for Redskins fans, Synder is SO dumb.

Reid asked Synder if he wanted another old ass QB and Synder said SURE! Here is a 2nd for your troubles.

 

Cousins or draft pick, unless the jets invest in making the qb successful nothing will change.

Nope, I’ve stated many times now, cousins is the first option because that’s how the timeline works.
