Best article so far on this BS Big sigh of relief when he said "winning NOW is important to him"...so cya Jets If there is any doubt in his mind about our bottom dweller philosophy all he need do is ask the Johnsons bout the "no mandate for winning" LMAO ..Bye Captain Kirk looks like you are warp speeding your Enterprise to Colorado...ahahaha
For a 3rd or 4th round pick Alex Smith would be a solid investment. Or maybe even swap Muhammad Wilkerson for Alex Smith and include some kind of conditional draft pick(s). If we got no shot at Darnold or Rosen, the Jets then would be allowed to trade back to no lower than 10, grab an extra 1st day pick, and still potentially get a guy like Baker Mayfield to sit back and learn while Alex Smith takes our skill position players to another level.
But but but Mike Shanahan said Captain Kirk is special. If you enjoy only beating up the NFL bottom feeders, he's your guy.
http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2017/REG/Redskins I had a quick look at the box scores for all of the games. What was really telling was that in most of the losses, the rushing leader was well under 50 yards. In a couple of them, Cousins himself was the rushing leader. I wonder if Jacksonville is the most appealing team to him. That team is stacked, and Fournette is a beast.
I read the article and certainly agree with the generic, cookie-cutter argument that every QB needs good players around him. (Doesn't everyone?) But, again, that doesn't mean he was playing with the likes of Becht and Schilens these past three seasons. Like I wrote earlier - Strawman.
You gotta be kidding. This is the same regime that bid against themselves for Ryan Sixpatrick, signed Josh McCown, and drafted Petty and Hackenberg. Alex Smith (stop gap vet) and Baker Mayfield (future) to go along with more draft picks would be a step in the right direction...on second thought, of course Mac won't make any bold moves in phase 1 or phase 2 of this off-season, because he's ball-less like Bowles.
Not when it comes to quarterbacks. We virtually NEVER see a top QB leave via free agency, unless there are injury questions. Think about it.
Redskins just UPGRADED their quarterback position. Can't wait to feed crow to all the Cousins Kids next season. Can't wait to find out the compensation for Alex Smith. If it's for a 4th round pick, I will be pissed.
you're right, trading for a jag that hasn't been on team that couldn't wait to replace him and adding a short, system fabricated hype machine sounds about right, you'll get your wish edit, news broke as i posted this. we dodged one land mine
Yep. Washington definitely thinks Cousins is a top 10 QB. Definitely. Why else would they trade their 29 year old stud for a 33 year old check down Charlie? As I have repeatedly written on this message board, all you had to do to know how they felt about Cousins was to watch Jay Gruden's season ending press conference. When they asked him about his QB, his face said it all.
LOL i completely disagree with that. Smith is likely nothing more than a stopgap QB. Rumors that it is a pick and player BTW
Either way this likely good news for us as we will either land Cousins or DEN/CLE gets Cousins and a QB in the draft falls (unless he would pick AZ-don't know why he would do that though)
Right. They gravely insulted the immortal captain Kirk by only paying him what . . . 24 million this year? Their insolence will not go unpunished!
