We’ve been trying to coach Hack to tame his arm strength for 2 years now, and he was still unloading on people in the preseason. Idk if it’s an easy fix.
If throwing the ball too hard was Hack's only problem with regards to accuracy, he would have seen the field already. There's also his terrible footwork and inconsistent mechanics. Allen doesn't need to be rebuilt from the ground up. His accuracy doesn't concern me as much as his process speed and poise, or lack there of.
I still miss Edwards too. He was a favorite of mine. I thought it was awesome one time they beat the Patriots and he did a handstand/backflip thing. Man was he athletic.
Sanchez was pretty accurate when he was in rhythm. That's why it would have been great for him and us if he could have had a chance to play in a WCO when he was here.
The TD when he dragged the two Pats defenders in with him was a thing of beauty. Lost my shit when he scored.
Looking back on it, I would still rather have Sanchez and Rex till this day then have Bowles and Geno/Sixpatrick/McCown/Petty.
Allen looks good. Still think he the 2nd best QB in the draft behind Rosen. Mayfield is not NFL ready in his first year. Maybe in year 2 or 3. No need for Jets to trade up since there s 4 or 5 solid QBs in first 2 rounds. Question is do they get Cousins and if so they have options to get a QB in first or 2nd round.
Allen had a really good 3rd qtr with 2 TD's and a bunch of big plays. Showed really good touch too. Overall impressed today.
He s not a pro set QB. Not saying he won’t have success, just that I don’t think that he will make an immediate impact.
I have a good feeling about allen. Regardless we will be able to get one of the top 3 qbs in this draft no doubt. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Brett Favre never made that adjustment, did he? Didn't his receivers have to learn how to deal with his passes and broken fingers?
