It’s so damned boring to see this storyline play out over and over again. I had no doubt whatsoever that this was going to happen.
Yay boring NFL. Since 2001-02, only two seasons where a Super Bowl didn't feature Brady, Roethlisburger, or Manning. So exciting.
Missed Holds against the patriots offensive line - 9 Missed PI against the pats D- 4 Missed unnecessary roughness against pats- 3 Jags were put in their place, the NFL caste system rears its ugly head once more
It's as if Belichick puts a spell on the opposing coaches to turn them into morons when they take a lead. Time after time after time you see teams blow wins against the Patriots by changing the game plan and going conservative, and yet time after time they make the same idiotic mistakes.
You would think that people would learn. Try to score any time you get a chance. Amazingly enough we have seen coaches make the same mistake over and over again.
The fact that you can predict this just like I is not normal. It means the league is rigged and biased. The odds of you being this accurate in predicting football is very very unlikely. And yet we are. I wasn't able to do this pre 2001. So why can I now?
That’s the key; 1 penalty the entire game and it was on special teams. Not even one single hold against the top sacking team, and we are supposed to believe that credible.
It all started with the kneel down before half..set the tone for the 2nd half. Basically said to the team we give up and we are gonna play not to lose
This reminds me of the Jets vs. Indy game in 2010. Same crap. Jets were up by 4 going into the half and then no touchdowns for the rest of the game. Difference is that the Jets got completely shut out and this game stayed competitive because of two field goals and the Jacksonville defense holding NE off a little bit longer.
Still trying to figure out why the JAX fumble was blown dead... player was not touched and had an easy 6. It was called a fumble on the field correct? That changed the game.
The Jags took their foot off the pedal in the 4th and paid for it. Defense got gassed and it showed as they started to lose some of the intensity they played with all game. Also, the sequence before the half was costly for the Jags. Huge missed opportunity for the jags, will haunt them all offseason. Also, the refs were incredibly trigger happy with giving out DPI's and the NFL really needs to change the rule to make it a 15 yard penalty.
You have to wonder how things would change for Patriots if they actually got nailed for penalties. I feel like they wouldn't be in the game nearly as often as they are.
I agree. Of course people will say that the result of this would be players mugging guys going down the field when they are beat.
DPI's have been far too costly though. QB's chuck the ball 40-50 yards down the field hoping their wr's get mugged to get a free play. It's too easy IMO. Make it a 15 yard penalty and make teams earn touchdowns.
