If Bowles gets rejected by Bates, then he must want out and to work on another staff.

If we get rejected by Bates, then we should force Bowles to hire Mike Martz. Ha ha!

 

I say we bring back Paul Hackett. Ground and Pound meets the 3rd and long Draw. Match made in Jet heaven! Just imagine.. the return of the Flanker Screen.

Remember this article after we hired John Morton. Matt Forte was all excited to play in Johnny Mo's offense, because he likes a fast paced offense like he had in Chicago were the running back can catch a lot of balls out of the backfield. I'm half serious about hiring Martz, but I know it would not happen.

I still can't believe SloFo was pissed we didn't run more and he blamed Morton. His f'n knee turned to butter near the end of the season but he's still pissed they didn't run more? Even if they did, who's to say SloFo wouldn't bitch because Powell and McGuire would be getting the rock more than him?

If Blowes thinks he can run a "ground and pound" offense successfully in 2018, let him try it. Like I said, his extension isn't bulletproof and if the team turns in another loser in 2018, even with no mandate Blowes is walkin the plank. I'm sure if he does that, then the WR's will be bitching because we run too much.

That or the guy just doesn't want the stress or the spotlight of the OC position.

He left football for 4 years in part because he didn't care for being in the spotlight.

It's going to be interesting to see how this all plays out. I do agree that he played a part in McCown's "career year", but I question his love for the game and just how long he's going to be around before he just ups and leaves on another hike across America.
