Well I respect your opinion a lot, but if you need a FQB, and you wait to take one until 36, that's a REAL gamble There are no guarantees, but as I posted already the statistics favor taking a QB with your highest pick, if you believe he can be a FQB. No, you don't just take guy there because he happens to be a QB, but you think he's good, so will the other teams who need a FQB and they may take your guy before your next pick. Also, and this falls into the psychology realm, but when you take a QB with your first pick you're making a clear statement: "I believe he's our future FQB and I expect him to play". In the case of the Jets, and their veteran-loving HC, it also sets an expectation: Bowles will have a lot of pressure on him to play him. That doesn't mean he HAS to play him, if Bowles doesn't think he's good enough, but saying that a top pick isn't good enough will require some proof to back that up.
What would you think about someone that couldn't see the obvious tongue in cheek humor intended by the article?
This is why I am almost rooting for Chubb to be the pick. I love the “I am done with this team” posts like its some kind of threat from people who won’t be missed but don’t leave anyway
Not really, Chubb might be a great player at a premium position in this league. I wouldn’t be happy with just any defensive player just to get the overdramatic child like temper tantrums it would cause. But a good pick and the angst, well, fucking delicious if you ask me. I’ll take 2 helpings please!
Peeps setting themselves up all over the place, lol. Then they get lucky with Jackson or Falk or somebody and Bowles makes a playoff run. That's what I root for, Lol There will be Hell to pay Hahahaha
Chubb has 0 percent chance of changing around the franchise by himself... at least one of the QB's has that chance. There is one premium position in the league and that's Quarterback
He had the worst year out of all of them. I'm not seeing him go in the top 10. If they are going off combine results all I'm gonna say is Mike Mamula.
You're correct it is not cutting off the nose. It's adding on some chubb. Over dramatic child like temper tantrums? Well good sir that is quite the indictment. I wonder if you threw a child like temper tantrum when the jets drafted 2 safety's in a row? Or maybe when they passed on marino? Nah the jets know something we don't. But let's talk about the D picks. Pryor over cooks gotta love that one!!! Quinton coples over literally anyone!! Can't miss baby. A child with a bleacher report draft board in front of them would have been more successful than the jets. But naaaah let's roll with Chubb to add to our collection of underachieving bad attitude defensive line busts yaaaaay
it was never about 1 pick, it's about the draft as a whole ... that's shortsighted... whats to say the Jets don't find a QB of their liking by trading back up or maybe somehow finding a hidden gem? You still need to rush the passer and you still need to protect the qb
using draft selections from different regimes ... nice ... btw I wasn't mad at the 2 safety selection ... I was surprised they took Maye, as I liked some other DBs but I was not mad.
Lot of comedic jokes in that post. Lucky with Jackson and Falk and Bowles in the playoffs. Hilarious.
That's not the point. Some peeps are all outraged and shit with their justified anger. They're pissed man. They're about ready drop the team and shit.. Whoa Watch out!! How dare you take a logical thought out view of this, and actually have a clue to what the QB's actually even are. Man, there's some whiny ass bitches on here.
right there with you man, it will be ruthless. i am trying hard to bite my tongue over the few that were suppose to leave when bowles was retained. they know who they are
