Mariota is the first NFL player to have both a TD pass and a TD reception in the same playoff game, so he's obviously the first one to do it on the same play. I know Brad Johnson did the TD pass&reception thing while playing for the Vikings in the 90s in a regular season game, but I don't know if anyone else has ever done it.

It's just a path Mac could consider this off-season before the draft. Let's say the Jets were able to get Smith for a 4th rd pick. I would do it. Smith would be the best quarterback the Jets franchise has had since Chad Pennington. This would give Mac more options heading into the draft.
