If by some miracle Barkley is there at #6, the Jets HAVE to take him.

Hey, I played the position BRUH I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT(just kidding, I mocked someone just now).

But seriously, when I see ugly I point it out. His lower body mechanics are ugly, but his throwing motion is fine. He's coachable, I watched a lot of film on the kid. We've all been wrong before, I just want Mac to take the best player that helps this team.

1 Josh Allen coming right up though. Mac is going to get himself fired.

All QBs gotta get coached up, but who needs the most work is the question? Who will come in prepared? Who is going to work on their own craft on their own time? We've seen that Petty and Hack have not put in the time to be great on their own time. I want a QB that will put in work day and night, even without the help of the Jets coaches.

If I could I would. I would love to be the OC for Lamar Jackson though, that would be fun.

Too bad...we could have had him with about the amount on "blank check" Thanks Idiot Idzik!

Now SF would have to be crazy to let that beast go..hehe

History will continue to repeat itself Hasty with the Sh&theads running our FO

Sure let's continue to pass on Mayfield Rosen Sam D Allen even Rudolf ...years later they attain greatness and we have Bowles Mac and the Johnstons landing a big turd on the fans

A good healthy dose of talent helps. If you have that along with coaching and the mindset to work on your craft. That is what the Jets need. Because they would get anything from Bowles except blank stares and I have to look at the film comments.

I hope Bowles puts in the work this off-season, apparently he wants Arians to visit camp. Hopefully this will help. I mean I felt the same way about each regime the Jets have had. They always needed a QB that put in the work themselves. Can't trust the Jets staff fully to develop a QB.

I really don't know where you get the idea that Petty and Hack didn't put in the work. Citation please. I can accept that maybe they just weren't good enough, but that they sat on their ass and didn't try seems implausible...I need to see some proof of that claim.

And the other thing you keep insisting on is the belief that Bowles and his CS did everything they could've done to groom either of these guys, which IS part of their job, even if you absolve them of that.

Valid point. It's possible Cousins, Bridgewater et al. aren't available either, a Jackson stays in college too, and before you know it the field is narrowed, there aren't all that many options, and the outlook gets a little bleaker.

In that case you do what it takes to trade up for Baker mayfield

I say that cause they are exactly the same player. Not marginal improvements. Tom Brady, Drew Brees. These qbs were great for their work ethic. Coaching plays a role no doubt, but qbs still have to work on their craft in the off-season. Improve your fundamentals.

Or we can just crap on the selection as a whole. Whatever Mac saw don't exist

Thinking along the same lines. If he's there @6 maybe you have to grab him at least. I'm not counting on it. My gut is telling they won't take him. That they'd rather take Rudolph, Falk or somebody later. There's a long way to go in the evaluations and it's not at all uncommon to see them change a lot by draft time so we'll see.

You should definitely base your opinion off one game. This is a great way to operate.

Because the Jets could add a very good edge rushing, RB, or OL prospect with one or both of those picks. I'd rather give up next year's #1 or a #2 next year, than give up both #2s this year. If they have to include one of the #2s (the lower one) fine, but not both.

Even over a QB? There's a very good chance he will be there. You'd rather have him than Allen or Mayfield? Not me.

No way I'd take Barkley over Chubb or Key, either. There are a LOT of other very good RBs in the draft. The drop off in edge rushers after Chubb and Key is huge. We have needed a great edge rusher for the last 20 years (or it seems that long anyway).

I’m not opposed at all to the idea of trading up to get Macs guy but some part of me would rather take the chance of lucking into the best QB by selecting whoever is left rather than trusting Mac to pick the best QB.

I would love to see the reaction on this board if we draft Chubb.
He would be a steal at 6 but this place would explode.
