it really does. That took me back a long time sir.

Radar is by far over-performing down south. Precip shield moving through central Georgia was NOT forecasted and these are the trends we look for today. Could be a southern thing. Still...this is what we look for today.

    BOMB CYCLONE

"The disastrous 2017 hurricane season is over, but a massive storm is building in the Atlantic that’s going to act like a winter version of a hurricane. The massive low will have similar pressure as Superstorm Sandy and pack hurricane-force winds. Airlines are bracing for major impacts and releasing travel waivers to allow passengers with flexible plans the chance to change their flights for free."

hey DW. Sorry bud but don't think a clear picture will play out for up there until we see how this under/over performs down here. Its over performing right now....but there is so much feeding this exploding storm that the exact track isn't even in play yet. Will know more towards afternoon.

The storm is exploding right now.

formation in the Bahamas...winds along the coast from NC north and especially from NJ north will be equal to a very high end Tropical storm...this storm has it all. Great post GG.

EDIT: Followed by record breaking temps for 100's of cities ...Saturday morning will be insane with actual temps and wind chill temps...insane.

AND finally...my friends up In the NYC metro area....here is a saver for you guys...hit refresh and loop on the side if it doesn't start...this is a tremendous radar for intensity etc. Lots of scattered nothing coming through now but you guys will love this radar tonight and all day tomorrow. Arrow up down etc if your locations is west/south etc.

the more west track seems to be sparring Cape Cod from a huge blizzard...seems to. They will still get the fierce winds heavy rains/sleet/snow etc...but huge snows move inland about 50 miles. Hell..its Patriot land so I agree...who gives a crap...next.

    lol...still laughing at that map.

Ok..some quick thoughts. For days the track and intensity to the west and north of center has been the huge ? There is no doubt looking at live radar that this storm is over performing to the south
    LINK: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=CLX&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes

Also more west with the precip shield than modeled.
    LINK: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/southeast-region/weather-radar?play=1

Power outages in Florida are near 20,000 from ice and snow.

Storms most northern outreach is close to the NC/SC border
    LINK: https://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=LTX&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes

All early signs... are a more west trend up north. Even the precip along the coast of L.I. and Cape Cod (snow predicted amounts) are a hint because their numbers have come DOWN. Down because the closer the center is to the coast...more warm air being pulled in off the ocean. That is our first VISIBLE hint of a more west trend.

With that said...snow totals up north still look highest around i95..and now a bit west and easily east. The picture should clear up a bit more this afternoon.

Any ideas on what we are looking at in NNJ Bergen County. I live in Fair Lawn but work in Ramsey. What kind of a commute are we looking at here for Thursday morning? Or will it be to dangerous to travel and when will the worst be over? Thanks in advance for any info.
