well I mean Cousins does have a losing record as a quarterback since you ask. by the 3 metrics the previous poster used Cousins has the slight edge but I can pick out others that would give O'Donnell the edge as well. That makes it a comparison not -"really no comparison" as you suggest. I know you don't like opinions different than your own as you usually get too emotional but in 1995 O'Donnell was seen as an average NFL Quarterback in his prime with stretches of occasional above average play. I think you could say something similar about Cousins. Now, Cousins ain't a douchebag like O'Donnell was so that gives him a significant edge but at the same time his arm is not as good, idk, that makes it a decent comparison for discussion
Was with you until this. And you don't even see the irony in it. Oh well. I'll just leave it at I'm ready to hand Cousins $25 mil because he's hands down the best option available and has already proven he can play at a high level in the NFL.
If you don't know the answer to this, you must onyl play fantasy and not watch the games. you think a player did bad becuase they didn't get an INT? remeber that year revis was the best CB in the NFL and didn't have a pick becuase nobody threw at him, his stats sucked but he was still the best.
I really don't get into stats.I think Adams is over rated and was over drafted. I'll never be a fan of a run of the mill safety. I like the Ed Reed's Polomalu types. Some dude that runs his mouth like he's the best ever get's on my nerves.
That would be a classic Jets move. But I don't think that will happen. Smith is better than anything we have on the roster and better than anything we have had in 15 years. But we should be thinking younger.
when does adams run his mouth? His personality is perfect. as are his intangibles. Reed never had to play like adams does. that's more of maye's role. I'll give you palamalu but you can't compare a rookie to one of the best all time
You don’t see the comparisons?? Ok both are at best above average QB there like A Smith ... both will play well for maybe 4 or 5 weeks maybe even put up MVP like numbers then go through 5 weeks of below average play and then let you down come playoff time
You made my point right there. Over analyze and under analyze. Would Kamara have the same season with the Jets. No we have numb nuts as head coach and probably would have buried him on the roster to play one leg Forte. Could Kamara run when there are no holes because your offensive line is awful. I liked Kamara and glad he had a great year with the Saints. He'll be playing in the playoffs and the Jets are calling their travel agents.
Nah I don’t, I see Cousins as much better than O’Donnell ever was. I’m not in favor of signing Cousins nor do I think the Jets will even be in the running but I do think he’s a solid QB, never thought O’Donnell was.
That could be... but remember this Carson wentz is only in his second year and I believe would have been the MVB .... Dallas Zac Prescott with Ezekiel Elliott won a lot of games last year and were close to being a SB team.... A Young QB with a solid run game can look real good
I wouldn't take him at 6. If they can get him later and get some picks out it...maybe. But this guy had a below average year and some real bad mechanics. Think of a higher picked Hackenberg. No thanks but then again Macc is the King of BPA.
well said. I don't think he'll come to NY anyway. He's either going to stay in Washington for another year,Denver.. maybe even Miami. He's a big step up from Fitz & Mccown in terms of being able to build an offense around him..but he's not a true franchise guy.He brings w. him a massive cap hit & immediate unrealistic expectations which will destroy the entire notion of a total rebuild. Do folks really feel he's the best option or just the safest one? It's time for the Jets to draft their Quarterback & end this insanity
Polamalu and Reed were great in college. Who can say that about Adams? Adams runs his mouth constantly since training camp. The dumb/stupid concussion comment, the very recent "I won't miss another pro bowl" Dude should shut and stop TD's from being caught on him first.
You're way too smart BM. First you would have to wake Macc up from his BPA coma. The Browns have Paul "moneyball" DePodesta calling the shots. So when I hear the like Allen I have to laugh. DePodesta ran the Dodgers into the ground and then came and ran the Mets into the ground. He is the worst judge of character and talent. So if he likes Allen that should be a red light for every other team.
