Hmmm....interesting spot. If anywhere along the coast there is a chance that this as not as bad as I think..it would be the VA and southern NJ coast. Notice I put chance in there....I would be getting just a few supplies.
Instead of buying an array of supplies, be sure to buy the entire store out of something vital, then barter outside the store for a better RoI. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
"EUROjust came out and showed a deepness of near record breaking numbers and wind gusts well into tropical storm territory...it also is closer to the coast. NOW...THE snowfall amounts are still 1-5" range for almost all. How is that? Is it accurate? Have never ever seen anything like that. So are the models right? What are they missing. Its missing something...but can be correct. I just don't buy it for a second. I will buy it when people in L.I. Thursday night say they got 3" of snow. Something is missing. I think at 330 today when the NAM comes out...we will have our answer
Jay I think you are being too kind to Brook , maybe you are leary of getting banned LMAO--------Where is my friend FJAY ? Stop working for a minute and chime in its just like old times on the weather thread here today,,,,,,excuse me while I go cough up a lung I cannot shake this effing cold I have !
Poor FJF is probably excited I'm posting so he doesn't go insane with the questions. He is a very smart fella. As far as being too kind to Brook,No way Jose. Brook is a legend...and it would be an honor to get banned by him.
I know u posted this but Im sick and too lazy to read back,,,,,when are u arriving Jayster , Wednesday night ? How long is your stay,,,,,,I would try and hookup for a cocktail of food but right now all Im thinking is cough drops cold eeez and tissues,,,,but much like the forecast that can change .
Will be flying in Friday afternoon until Monday. My boys are both home from college so that will take a ton of time up. I will be around Sunday? Keep me updated what you are doing over the weekend!! Would love to see you again sir!
For the record my one son said to me "hey dad..its going to be cold...bring a hoodie". There is just no respect anymore that I still love to follow the weather...none.
Hey When I stand in front of a store with stuff, typically people call the police fearing there might a terrorist attack. Good idea for others though. @FJF @CBG @Cman60 . Genius idea from our friend here. Lol.
Sorry c, trying to get the last 2 weeks of work done today. Holiday shutdown mode was a real thing lol. You have the flu? Lots of fluids, I hear oj and vodka is best. I feel like jay is lecturing me in this one. I totally undersold this thing. I’m just going to sit back here and watch jay work and hope to pick up a thing or 2
Thanks FJF...but you are underestimating yourself. Patience is the hardest thing and for any following...I suck at it. A very wise old weather guy tried to teach me something a long time ago...and it worked for awhile..and it was this: Never jump ship on what you think you are seeing...because you probably have seen it before. For the record...that is a problem with a bunch of amateur people following the weather. They think because they said something earlier...that they have to stick to it. Bullshit. Total bullshit. The reason I did ok with this for a long time is simple. When the models begin to say what you say or thought was wrong...don't be stubborn. Admit you are an idiot. Admit that its all gut feeling and you know nothing. I'm pretty good at being an idiot. Once you feel great about being wrong about mother nature..its actually quite easy.
With that said..a few things are certain with this storm if you allow yourself to take "how many inches of snow will fall" out of the equation. 1. It will be a historic storm even if the fish get more snow than we do. Pressure readings will ever so low. 2. A winter storm with subtropical elements. Cant get more rare than that. 3. Wind gusts that will break records for a winter storm in many areas along the coast. 4. Areas that are not forecasted to get much snow will get...much snow. 5 And the most important....areas that get the wind and heavy snow will lose power....and the COLD AIR that will be ushered in thanks to this storm will be record breaking (especially wind chills). From anyone that enjoys the total package of tracking storms...this will not be the snowiest storm ever...not even close...but its one that does things that few have done in the past.
That creates another opportunity altogether. Run into the store screaming and you'll be able to take whatever inventory your heart desires. Just be sure to leave your name tag at home. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
