I know he made the call down for them to tank at the end to pick ahead of us and he is in love with Allen
Well first let me say I appreciate the thoughtful response from you. And we're in agreement that they need to get their FQB somehow. If they can get a legit, difference-maker pass rusher too then it will be a huge upgrade. With just those two pieces in place this pas season they would've likely made the playoffs. In an ideal draft, I would love to see them get a FQB prospect, a stud pass rusher, and a stud RB, and a stud OL. I don't think that's likely, but that would be ideal.
A little preemptive damage control with their fans. Painful enough to lose out (0-16), now it looks like the top qb prospects (Rosen/Darnold) might go refuse to play there.
They let KC win yesterday? Now Josh Allen is a top prospect, and guaranteed because Elway allegedly likes him? People said last year that Elway scored with Lynch. I guess he was wrong.
cleveland has the 1st and 4th picks in the first round. buffalo has 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. new cleveland gm dorsey could auction off the first pick if the bills are willing to offer those 6 picks. then , dosey can pull a belichick and add those 6 picks to the stockpile cleveland already has. then, he can either use the picks, or trade down if he doesn't like the value at any one pick. he can stockpile picks in futiure drafts, just like the pats, eagles, rams, and other teams have done in the past. the draft can be like a shooting gallery- you may not hit on every shot, but the more ammo you have, the better chance you have to hit something.
He's had the flu. So we'll see. I've watched him play. Reminds me of Brees and Jim McMahon. McMahon because of the size and the chutzpah, and the headband . I thought he saw the field well for his size which is one reason Brees is so good. My point is get this guy if he can play. There's a good chance he'll be there for us. I don't want a guy that could be good, maybe, because he's big. Those are luxury picks, guys like Stephon Hill and Hack. These guys need to draft guys that know how to play football so they compete from the start, that have been successful already. Not solely on combine numbers.
I agree. I think that a "winner's mentality" is a quality that's way underrated. That's why I like Mahomes and Watson despite some of their "negatives". Not all top rated players have that though. I do agree that Mayfield has it.
