Not sure he would be there at 7 or 8 but with the sixth pick the New York Jets select Bradley Chubb outside linebacker NC State:
People here have either not been in on the discussion for trading up or have blinders on Greensleeves post last week>>>>>>67% chance a first round QB will excel in NFL
I don’t know about mayfield but I’m willing to kick the tires at the Scouting combine he will be there at number six
This breaks my heart...Our Idzik completely blew it ..I beat the drum loudly for Jimmie and of course half the Board thought I was stupid lmao ...but the naysayers and nervous nelleys are still at it ..keeping us from getting a true talent..people are wrong and never see it ...JG could have changed Jets history If MM doesn't come up with some gold at QB iam so done here
The only way that pick is anything other than a QB is if the Jets have traded for or signed a big money FA QB. I'd hate to see them go D again in the first round. Again the Jets just don't frickin' get it. It seems like they've spent first round picks on defensive players most of the past 15 years yet they still can't beat Tom Brady & New England.
We desperately need a pass rusher and I would not reach for any of these prospects. I would rather take a chance on Lamar Jackson if we have to trade up into the first round because of his upside.
Totally agree.... we have to draft a QB.....And I’m telling you guys if we take the DL With the 6 pick I’m going in the kitchen and slicing my wrist!!!!!
Sorry guys ..but after yesterday's performance no body in their right mind would want K Cousins..tons of incompletions and interceptions AGAINST THE GIANTS..guy loads up the stats for himself against bad teams but only beat one good team the Rams so far this season Somebody will say he has bad receivers etc...frankly so MANY things have to be in place for him to succeed anywhere I think Cousins and his agent will look very carefully for his best landing spot especially if he has several big $ offers...doubt he comes here and it won't be a bad thing imo Best philosophy is draft a kid and have McGown support him but get him out there asap..we fix the OL in off season...the OC? Dunno about that
The bill wouldn’t trade him to the AFC team I would’ve at least given them a first round pick ....if I’m Patriots management I’m asking Bill what the hell was he thinking giving this guy a way for only a second round pick
Please don't do that...(really lol) ...after 49 years take it from me it makes you stronger..be like the Lions on 5th Ave Library ..."Patience and Fortitude" TBH I will just take a break from this team
How many rings does Marino have ? How many teams also passed on Marino ? Also we got ourselves a very good QB in that draft that you would love to pick now, using Marino as an example is just lazy and does not correlate with this draft scenario.
If reports were to be believed, Bill's preference may have been to trade Brady instead. Kraft bends over backwards for his golden boy though.
There would be nothing wrong with that strategy, if he felt he had the next Brady waiting in the wings. Pick up right where he left off for another 10 years. Could you imagine?
We have to really hope Darnold enters the draft. If he does that puts 4 QBs worthy of being selected in top 10 with 3 teams ahead of us potentially selecting a QB. Might be better to take the choice out of Macs hand and just select whichever of the 4 makes it to 6.
You really think Denver and Elway would take him? Maybe to groom Lynch, but would even Eli want that?
