You are wrong. When it comes to College ball I'm no hater just beacuse. I hate teams with purpose to the one I root for. It's like the Jets vs Miami. Not the Jets vs the Panthers.... I'm not one NY team hating the other in some crazy hate frenzy. And don't pretend otherwise. For the most part. It's less reason and more jealousy.
I'm not jealous of ND. I just think I'm missing something that their 3 billion fans see that I do not. As Royal Tee said last week at the tailgate, How come Holy Cross and St. Francis, etc. have this following if it's all about faith. It's clearly not, it's about money and about branding the product in a broad spectrum to make it seem important to a larger population.
You don't know all fans then do you. Some fans have been with the program for 20 plus years and they aren't going to put up with this shit. That post still shows how your an evil hater.
You people are pissed off that ND gets the extra hype and money. Het. That's the way it. Like you'd be so pissed if the Jets got this extra bonus. Thing is ND has put up plenty of times for many of the hype and even with the loss to USC they have again. So why don't you save your breath.
That's sig-worthy. I will consider using it. A thank you goes out to those who mentioned why they hate ND. I kinda get a kick out of reading why people hate certain teams. I know last summer some people were interested in hearing why I hate the Cubs. Now, if I can only get nyjunc to admit why he is allergic to the Big East... I certainly have asked him enough times.
Quick note to our readers who are quick to bash me over my opinion on this matter, I didn't start this one...just defending my stance. Pissed off? More like amuzed. I feel like there is something I'm missing as to why this program is so adored, nevermind the heavyhanded comments of how people feel so close to the school even though they can't find the school on a map. But that's just me. Last year's Irish team was probably better than this years. If UCLA and MSU had halfway decent coaches, you can easily count 4 losses. What have they put up?
I'm so hung over. But your still ugly. It's obvious you have jeaolusy issues from the ND media attention. I never brought up that ND was a better team this year than they were last year. I think they were a better team last year actually. But you are being biased. Many teams play a bunch of crappy teams like the Canes or Penn State. But as soon as we do you have to whip out the hate. Whatever.
It has more to do with the fact that ND got absolutely blasted early and late by the 2 top teams on their schedule, while beating up on the dregs of the NCAA in between. They were ranked way too highly and should drop like a stone after this loss.
The damn bastards dropped us all the way to No.10. We gotta hope for a Rutgers loss(We want 1 team from the Big East going to a BCS Game, and that has to be Louisville) and a Florida win over Arkansas.
i like ND, but after that game its clear theyre overrated. Quinn is very overrated. not much else to say.
Notre Dame doesn't deserve a BCS bowl. Two big losses to the biggest teams on their schedule. Almost lost to Michigan State and UCLA. I really have no argument for this team deserving a BCS bowl. We beat a number of bowl eligible teams, but that doesn't mean nearly as much as the two big losses. As for someone (I don't remember who) calling Brady Quinn overrated, y'all gotta stop looking at the stat lines. I'm so sick of seeing people look to the stats as an argument for a player's performance. Numbers-wise, he had a bad game. But to say he didn't play his heart out and give that team every opportunity to win the game is ridiculous. Receivers were dropping passes. Linemen were missing blocks. Darius Walker had his standard "okay" game. The defense couldn't even dream of stopping Jarrett. Yes, his numbers were bad, but he played well. He just wasn't getting any help. He did everything he could to win that game. No one else did.
