The only thing this team needs to do next off-season is get Alex Smith and draft Josh Rosen. Keep Smith to start build Rosen for next year.
I like that but Rosen will be long gone. Giving up alot when you need alot like the Jets won't help. They would have to build up the offensive line for Smith and Rosen for sure.
What was Goff before his team spent on an OL? And who can forget that starmaking season Bortles had... oh, wait... he's mediocre at best with a star RB and a defense that was purchased. Bottom line is your point was bad.
I think many, myself included, have forgotten that this is supposed to be a rebuild job. In reality this was supposed to be year 1 and McCown having a career year kinda spoiled it. But we were able to see the development of several young players. I trust Mac (as of now) to help oversee the rest of the rebuilding process. For that, I completely agree with extending Mac. Extending Bowles is something I personally wouldn't have done, (i probably would've fired him) but I understand why they did it. He overachieved with a really poor roster. Also the team seems to absolutely love him so that probably played a factor in the decision.
Goff has a better coach an offensive minded coach. Does not matter who we get in free agency/draft the turd will still be coaching the team. Bortles is going to the playoffs so much for mediocre. That is what the fans are asking the Jets to do. Because once you get to the playoffs who knows what might happen. So MoProblems you keep hanging your hat on wishing and hoping ok.
Good news though. I think Todd “Medusa Face” Bowles can stop Rosen’s personality in its tracks. Rosen will be up on the podium answering media questions like:
You're right about the sort on the first number I looked at, that will sometimes happen in the middle of the night when someone would be better off sleeping. I still don't find anything that would measure McCown's performance anything above mediocre and that's for a guy who had the best season of his career throwing a subaverage number of short, safe passes - of course his completion rate would be higher than guys throwing an average number of average length passes. And really, that whole TD to INT number is largely meaningless; if you're going to rate interceptions you do it based on attempts and if a guy's ranking on interceptions is higher than his ranking on attempted passes, he's turning too many over. I have looked at two other QB Ratings and both have him at #14 after taking out a handful of guys with only a handful of passes. That's smack in the middle of mediocrity. The bigger problem here though is guys like you and I are debating the merits of Josh McCown while every person on this board knows damn well that Josh McCown will be nothing more than a footnote in Jets history. He may have won a few meaningless games in another meaningless season but his presence here does nothing that will make a difference to the future of the team other than possibly delaying that future. It was time to move on in September; it's certainly time to move on now.
Try reading. Multiple times in this thread I said I have doubts about Bowles as a coach and it remains to be seen if Macc can follow through with the rebuild. Guys like you and booz just get so wound up and angry that you default to being argumentative and sarcastic and passive aggressive.
Mrs Bowles must be the happiest woman on the planet right now. A Jets extention.millions in the bank with a husband who screws up the grocery list and can't Coach a game for his life..ahahahah
