Why do you say that with Maccagnan? He took over a mess in 2015. Patched it together for a year, then stripped it down, now beginning to build it back up. I see no reason to fire him yet. Because he missed on a 2nd and 4th Round QB? Not reason enough. He has done a solid job.

So people keep saying and then when you look into it further other people are less than pleased.

Darnald = gone backwards this season
    Rosen = injury risk, concussions
Allen = he is Hack and Petty combined
Rudolph = he is being made by his WR's and by BTW no fucking way would I want a QB called Rudolph leading our team lol, well not unless Blitzen and Dancer are RB's :)
Mayfiled = another big 12 QB, Baker the bust apparently

It is so hard to say who to select at present imo

I think he's been mediocre. In three years he hasn't produced a "face of the franchise" impact player. He overpaid for guys who either aren't here or won't be for long. The team is marginally better, but he hasn't shown enough to prove he's the answer IMO. The "tipping point" is that I don't fire Bowles and keep him, and I would definitely fire Bowles.

But it's all moot at this point. The Johnsons have spoken, for better or worse.

I'm pretty sure you already did with that posting. But if Bucky was really good at his job he would be in a football organization. We will see 101GG.

I’ve had enough of waiting. Playoffs next year or they should both be shown the door. 4 years with no playoffs isn’t worth keeping.

Get ready for the defensive pick though. It’s coming. Minkah Fitzpatrick seems like the guy who will just fall to us and then Bowles and Mac will jump all over it. Not that Fitzpatrick won’t be any good but we have bigger holes than corner right now.

He will be overdrafted if he's taken with a top ten pick.

I can't believe guys would choose him over Luke Falk.

He has looked atrocious in his game today, and we need to stop blaming his lack of playmakers.

All college teams suffer from lack of playmakers, it's not like everyone else has potential first round picks at the WR and RB positions.

I wouldn’t take him in the first round at all. But if we can’t get one of the top QB’s in the first I’d absolutely draft him in the 3rd round and give him the ball.

Free agency money has never solved a team problems. The Jets problem is at QB and Macc incompetence at draft time. With free agency Bowels has shown he can't deal with veterans so bringing in a bunch of them will just confuse him more. Plus the Rodgers factor. Does anyone expect him to improve. I hope the Johnson's at least identifed that problem and told Bowles you can stay but Rodgers has to go.

Nothing at all. Same old Jets. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Yeah your right - the coaches are just spending all the time looking at and responding to opponent's tendencies and calling all of the plays with very little effect. So much wasted effort, strategy, and communication on the sidelines every week for very little difference. You wonder why the coaching staff aren't all out golfing on beautiful Sunday afternoon.

    Sarcasm off.

Sorry to sound like a jerk, but to say that NFL coaches have little control when they virtually have their hand in every strategic aspect of the game (more so than any other sport that I can think of) seems to be a way to reduce the negative in-game effect that many believe Bowles displays.
IMHO it's OK to disagree with people's opinions on how Bowles manages a game. However, to diminish the control that NFL coaches have seems like a defense mechanism

I think the Jets have another good draft.

Bowles is never going to be “aggressive”. Funny thing is, the conservative approach is formulaic and predictable, being agressive every now and then would keep the opposition off balance.

I knew I had forgot one...

First post read in his thread "I saw the game, if he didn't have the ability to run he would be considered an 8th round pick. He was atrocious and anyone who thinks he's pro ready is just wrong."

So how strong is this bunch of QB's really, there isn't one that gets away without a scathing remark or 6 in our draft threads lol

This is quite a bit of rambling and conjecture...

Ask the Rams if free agency doesn't help a team. Maybe the Eagles would like a word as well. Hey maybe the Jags would like to chime in.
