While I don’t particularly like the move, I realize it’s probably the best move for the future the organization could’ve made.
Problem is unless Rodgers is getting another job offer, he'll likely be back. Defense seen as improved with rookie or young players getting better. Plus, he's buddy buddy with Bowles.
Makes all the sense in the world. I'm glad they did it now and didn't let it linger into a very important off-season.
Hey, if you don't like it I suggest you just take a break from the Jets and posting for a few years. Now this forum can actually talk about football and improvements on the roster.
I hope they either upgrade Rodgers or have Bowles take over the D... I like Morton as OC tho and am glad we will carry the same offensive system into next year.
I can’t wait to draft defense in the 1st. Hopefully it’s a DE. Gotta replace Wilk somehow. What better way then to use a top 10 pick? LETS GO DEFENSE!!!
Anybody who didn't see this coming, better pull there heads out of the sand, as bad as the team was this year they never quit on Bowles, while McCown was our starting QB we had the opportunity to win any game, so hard off to Bowles and Mac, never accomplish anything changing CHs and GMs every 3 years like the fan base consistently wants.
You mean pretend that this isn’t the most pitiful franchise in sports w their worst head coach since Kotite?? Yeah..maybe those of us w a clue SHOULD just take a break
Todd Bowles is an idiot and always will be. Unless his extension is conditional on an emergency brain transplant, it’s a terrible move.
It would suggest we are sticking with McCown or going FA for a replacement and a low draft pick up QB unless they still believe in Hack.
TB "Should I take a time out now or hey is that my buddy in the crowd over there..." 30 seconds later coach coach TB "Oh Fuck T T T " Ah well hopefully he will learn next season lol
Kurt, I think you are a very knowledgeable poster and I respect your opinion and understand your frustration but you’re going a little(alot)overboard here. Jets are not even in the top 10 of most pitiful franchises in sports, not even sure they are even bottom 5 in NFL let alone all sports. As far as coaches since Kotite I would say he is lumped in with all the rest, Looking back I personally liked Mangini and wish they held onto him a little longer but Bowles is just like every coach other than Parcells since Kotite. I would’ve preferred they moved on but not really ready to commit to 3 more years of Mac, which they would’ve had to do if they let him pick his own coach. Probably best thing for franchise is to stay the course and re-evaluate next offseason.
Lol it isn't even close to being "the most pitiful franchise in sports" And while Bowles hasn't overly impressed me he is clearly better coach than Mangini. Case in point, team is playing for Bowles rather than quitting like Manginis teams.
