completion stats ≠ accuracy ... I do agree about his first 2 years to an extent ... his progression as a passer from yr 2 to yr 3 has been astronomical. He will fit the Morton WCO, and has good arm strength to get the ball to Robby down the field.
learn to read? Nobody said he was the best prospect in the draft, he was the best QB however and the browns had a huge need and everyone had trib going top 3 so yeah it was a pass. Chi took him at 2. I'm ok with this
It doens't work like that. how many years have you guys been watching the NFL? The trading team always agrees to a contract prior to complete the trade.
still looked better then any QB we've drafted since chad so..... Obviously no team makes the trade until they know for sure the player they want is on the board. like geez so many people here sound like they've never watched a draft before. Time will tell Cimini is an idiot. it's impossible for us to move up to 4. The highest we could get is 5 and that's if TB, Den, and SF all win and we lose. He isn't paying attention to the tie breaker (SOS)
I got the Jets getting the 4th or 5th pick. Colts moving up to 2, after losing to the Texans and the Giants beat the Skins in Eli's last game for the Giants. Jameis Winston plays well at home to pull off the upset of the Saints. Broncos defense takes advanage of the rookie Mahomes getting his first start and Broncos win at home. Jimmy G carves up the Rams. 1 Browns 0-16 2 Colts 3-13 3 Giants 3-13 4 Jets 5-11 5 Browns (Texans 5-11) 6 Buccaneers 5-11 7 Broncos 5-11 8 49ers 6-10 Jets swap with Colts and move ahead of Giants to draft Rosen or Darnold.
Not possible. Even in your scenario the jets will pick 5th as the lose the tiebreaker to the texans. Jets SOS is 521 and hou is 508 meaning they had the easier schedule and hence pick before us with a tied record which goes to the browns. So as i said literally impossible we can pick at bets 5th and that's if TB pulls off the huge upset of NO
Houston is playing the colts we are playing the pats lol I've already went over this we can't pick 4th. 5th is the absolute highest we can pick if all the cards fall in place but i think we'll pick 6th
It needs work for sure, but his improvement from year to year shows me he has a very strong work ethic. Very coachable. No QB improved as much as Lamar this year IMO.
Pretty much set in stone (if the Giants win & Indy loses, they swap), even if Indy beats Houston: 1) Cleveland 2/3) NYG 3/2) Indy We're not passing Houston on SOS. Given we both play divisional games, if they win & we lose their SOS is getting 2 games weaker & ours 2 games stronger. There's no way we pass them up. 4/5) TB (they're not beating NOLA) 4-6) HOU (4 if they lose to Indy; 6 if they win & Denver loses to KC) 5-10) DEN (they have a lot to lose by winning) 6-8) NYJ (We're not beating NE) I think the only teams we can somewhat realistically hope to pass up is Denver & SF. A Giant win & Indy loss would create some interesting trade scenarios at the top.
Then the Jets should pick 5th based on my picks for week 17. Picking 5th is only a 3 spot jump to get the Colts pick if everything shakes out like I think it will. Obviously the key games are the Texans beating the Colts and the Giants winning their final home game in Eli's last game for "big" blue.
It would for sure because indy could trade out since they don't need a QB. the bad news is if NY really want a QB they can trade INDY to move up the 1 spot for not much and INDY still gets whoever they want.
Did you see the Bucs game versus the Panthers last week? Bucs are playing well right now. Panthers barely got out of there with a win. Saints aren't coming out with a W.
I did see it. it was an impressive showing but things vary from week to week and TB hasn't been good and NO is fighting for seeding. A loss could drop them into the 5th seed while a win could net them a bye week.
In other words, exactly what I just said. There’s no reason to think Cousins would agree to come to the Jets long-term if he has better possibilities when he can do nothing and either become a free agent or get $35 million to play one year and then become a free agent.
You think cousins would block trade that guarantees him the LTD he's wanted for years? You are insane. The jets will have over 100 mil in cap space while denver will have around 40ish. we can offer him a much better deal then DEN Could. lets not forgot Denver is just as bad as we are this season and are an aging team while we are a young team on the rise. Also cousins will not get 35 mil. IDK where you got that number from. his tag amount for 2018 would be 28.8mil. We could easily offer him 5 years for 125 million with 40mil upfront and 75mil guaranteed. Denver can't pull that off. that means he would make at least 60mil in 2018 and still have the security of 4 more years afterwards. It's almost like some people here have no idea how contracts and the NFL works
