I think that this will be 100% true, and I would guess we might have the first stab at one (think Denver will look in free agency). (All of this is hinging upon the assumption that we will not beat NE)
Qbs rarely drop it happens but few and far between. most go higher then expected since it's such an important position. with that said, no way do we get sam. Cleveland would be stupid to fuck that up and if they did the giants won't pass on him. Him coming out helps us land another QB basically. Rosen is possible for us
The is a great QB class though. especially if sam comes out. I could see 4-5 1st round Qbs being drafted personally. I really think we need to take best QB available or even trade up
So we ask Petty to lose one more game and root like crazy for a Denver and TB win...sounds like a plan As we get down to the nitty gritty and seasons end the WORST ideas imo crawl out from under a rock Talented QBs on parade Rosen Darnold (possibly) Mayfield Mason Rudolf Luke Falk...and all the posters run after Lamar Jackson...ya gotta be kidding He is NOT Cam Newton...guy is Michael Vick 2.0 and we all know how that went Like I posted before...go after a Vick prototype and we head straight to the dogs!! Grrgrgr
To be fair vick was a stud in his day. Lots of good QBs out there. sam, rosen, jackson, and allen, could all go top 10. I really wouldn't be upset with any of them. I don't think sam is possible so i'm thinking we'll decide between jackson and allen as i see sam and rosen going 1 and 2
Haven't decided which QB i like more for us yet. I'm just saying that the jets NEED to take offense with our pick and preferably a QB. maybe we sell the farm to Cleveland for sam. i wouldn't mind that either at this point. would probably cost us both 2nd and our 1st next year. cleveland still gets 2 top 6 picks and likely 2 top 10 picks for 2019 as well and they will have 3 2nd rounders for 2018 as well. they could opt to do that with as many holes as they have and still take jackson with their 4th pick. The draft is a crazy thing where anything can happen
The gravity of GETTING or NOT GETTING A FQB here is imo tremendous for MM and the Team..Tell me careers are not riding on this ....and more years of heartache removed or implanted for the fans Prediction: Bidding war for K Cousins between Wash and Denver...(Jets not even a consideration) ...Denver wins and that young man goes West..ahahah
If denver lands cousins they will be a force in 2018. I'd be happy landing cousins personally but if Denver gets him that means washington needs to draft a QB and they won't let cousins go cheap. I'd be pissed if i was a wash fan. sitting on a franchise QB and refusing to sign him and trying to move him every year. He has no RB and decent at best WR group and still will pass 4k yards has 27TDs to 10 INTs, 65% compl and 98QBR. this is a QB who for 3 years in a row has thrown for over 4k yards 25+ TDs and at most 12 picks. and he's only 29 so easily has a good 5 years left in him.
I don’t think there’s a price in the world that can pry #1 from the Browns. What’s the difference between 100 draft picks and 105 draft picks?
This is the browns we are talking about. they passed on Trib 1st overall, then traded down over taking watson or mahomes and drafted a TE instead later on, then took a QB kizer in the 2nd round that sucked. never under estimate the browns making poor decisions
Supposedly Dorsey has attended a ton of Mayfield's games this year. Maybe he trades down from #1 and picks up Mayfield at the 4 or lower. We jump up and grab Rosen at 1. One can dream.
I know Cleveland is capable of anything, but I just can't see Dorsey passing on a QB given the unbelievable blowback there would be if Rosen or Darnold turn out to be the real deal. I will be amazed if the Giants pass on the other one, whatever Eli might wish for himself. The issue for the Jets is that both Indy at #3 and Cleveland at #4 will be willing to trade down, and QB hungry teams could jump ahead of the Jets even if things go well draft-wise next week. I think Cousins is worth going after, but I can't see any reason why he would want to come here over a team like Denver. My fear is that Mac will sign Bridgewater and McCown and then think he's fixed the offense and go defense again.
cousins doesn't get a say in it. wash will franchise and trade him. Cousins will go to any team who gives him a LTD. he's tired of playing under the franchise tag for the past 3 seasons
Honestly, pay Cousins whatever he wants. We have $100 million in cap space. Give him 4 years for $100 million. I don't care. Draft LT or OG in round 1.
Sam is NOT having the kind of year the #1 overall pick normally has. He may stay in just to put up a better season next year. Even if he comes out, he may not go until the middle of the 1st round. Remember Lienart? They kept the cameras on him as he continued to fall...was expected to go top 1 or 2. No one would have believed it ahead of time. Sam is heading for something close to that.
