    Not at all. LOL

Petty spit the bit on his one and only opportunity to make his case to be on the roster. He might be a nice kid with good character, but if it doesn't translate to the field its worthless in the big picture. Petty shit his NFL career down the toilet today. I have no sympathy for anyone that doesn't rise to the occasion. He knew what was on the line but wasn't up for the challenge. If Petty were ever to be successful here in the TriState, you have to be bigger than the moment. You have to deliver under the pressure. If you can't do that, there's no reason to be here.

Petty just doesn't have what it takes. Simple as that..

We desperately need O/Line help if we ever hope to get decent QB here

Yep.. until the OLine gets fixed, nothing else on offense is gonna matter much. 2 drafts? 3 perhaps?

There were throws Petty missed that a decent high school quarterback makes ten out of ten times. On one play in the first half, he missed a wide open Sefarian-Jenkins for what would have been a big gain. ASJ looked at Petty in disbelief.

It all depends on if we keep out current Head Coach, he is totally defence, defence, defence, but is still not very good at that. We have to give Mac his choice at Head Coach - with a normal structure of Head Coach reports to GM and GM to Owner, our current structure is beyond belief!

I think Mayfield will go high in this draft. If we want Mayfield we'll have to move up.

I didn't expect anything from Petty, I was never enamored with him but thought he was worth a flier in the 4th. If he became something then big win, if not (most likely) just the loss of a 4th round pick.

But having said that, a 4th round pick should be able better than what we've seen.

Petty was drafted as a QB #3 and is the lowest drafted QB on the roster. We’ve called upon him to be a QB #1 and he didn’t take the opportunity. The outcome shouldn’t be a surprise - when was the last time one of our backups stepped up?

I’m more concerned about what has happened to our second-round QB because he still isn’t suiting up.

It's shocking that anyone is surprised by this. The guy has always looked like trash. He's had nobody of note to sit behind and learn. No coaches to bring him out of the wet cat state of being. There was no reason to believe he was going to be a starter. Ever.

Glad reality is finally among us.

Hopefully now people realize why the organization couldn't put Petty on the field to start the season...I can only imagine how bad Hack is if Petty was the back up.

Yeah honestly it's as if he hasn't improved. Either that's due to his inaccuracies or its the coaching. Kinda gonna split that 50/50. But being a QB you also need to have "IT". Pocket awareness, ability to have that touch on the ball and when to gun it. I just didn't see any of those qualities. I mean honestly couldn't you see Hack being or doing the same thing Petty did today?

I've always liked Bryce Petty and have been really rooting for him but I have to admit today was pretty devastating. I think it was a wooden stake driven through the heart of his career. All done. You just can't miss that many throws like that. At least last week there were a couple brilliant ones thrown in the mix but today was mostly just clunkers.

As a fan I'm now hoping the Jets get Josh Allen and that he pans out.

Edited to add, at this point unless they know for a fact it'll be a total disaster I think you now play Hack against the Patriots and see what happens. And if he's really totally not ready then the question has to be asked just what the hell have they been up to the last 24 months.

and that may be the reason why they DON'T play Hack. Imagine even more questions and people giving Macc the fisheye because his 2nd rd. DP not only has not played, but hasn't even seen the field for 2 years. All the endless reasons why Hack hasn't played point towards Hack really being awful and that's on Macc who is now officially 0 fer QB's as GM of the NYJ's. I really hope 3rd time is the charm because if it isn't, Macc doesn't get a 4th.

Bowles just doesn't like to bench Qb's even if they're injured. Had he benched McCown last week after he got hurt the first time, He most likely doesn't break his hand. If Petty's hand had gotten injured again, the team would have been down to 1 QB on the roster. I just don't understand Bowles' rationale sometimes. He didn't bench Fitz after that 6 pick game either. Go figure.

I think Josh Allen is going to sky rocket up draft boards after workouts. He’s very much like Wentz in ability, better athlete and arm actually. Talk about bad offensive line play, the kid was under constant pressure and had no playmakers. He played in a pro style offense which is huge too. He might go before either Rosen/Darnold after all is said and done... teams are going to fall in love with this guy...

I like Mayfield, but I believe he is a late 1st rounder due to size (will measure 6’1” or under), average arm, and play d in spread/gimmick college offense. He’s a better version of Manzell.

Petty did his job today. We still have hope for a top 5 draft pick.

technically we still have hope for the 4th pick, albeit a very slim hope. I'm betting 6-7...but the jets being the jets we'll upset the Pats and draft 12th.
