One main problem I noticed with Petty, especially this game, he can't get past the first read. There were a couple passes today that he threw outs to that should have never been thrown. Once the snap occurs , his mind is made up. Combined with his inconsistent throwing, it was a bad - just a plain as the eye can see - performance. Whats worse, the coaches probably saw this in camp and thought it was just an exercise in futility? Not to make excuses for him , but there's not much you can expect from QB with only 5 career starts, so the inexperience is reeling it's ugly head.
