5-11.. Arrow is pointing sideways. Again...

Well, If folks want to pretend that the past never happened, that is their prerogative in a free country. If folks want to celebrate mediocrity, that too is a choice open to them.

I've been a fan longer than Mehta has been a writer so he can kiss my ass. If and When the Jets actually turn things around, I'll be more than happy to drink the koolaid. Until then, I'll believe things as I see them unfold and not a second before.

If 10 years from now the Jets have appeared in just ONE SB, I would be thrilled. Unlike a lot of you, I've seen the Jets win a Super Bowl and the parade down the Canyon of Heroes. if the rest of you got another 50 years or so to wait for the next Jet SB, more power to you. I'll be in the afterlife by then chillin.

Until the Jets finally get themselves a QB, a coach that understands the nuances of the game like say, clock management and in-game adjustments, or at the very minimum start paying more attention to the offense, I'm staying in wait and see mode.

How about the Jets actually draft a QB AND DEVELOP one successfully for starters. How about they start drafting young talent on the Oline instead of always BPA-D. Maybe spend a 1st round DP on a offensive player. Here's one for the books... How about we don't throw anymore of Woody's money away on nonsensical big money contracts. (Macc, are you listening??)

In the meantime, fuck Mehta and his happy happy joy joy bullshit. He's the most bi-polar beat writer there is. I'm not buying into anything short of success measured on the field, not in some bullshit byline. I didn't know Mehta part-timed in the Jet PR dept.

    Rant/over

Who do you build this franchise around? Who's the cornerstone?
Sadly they're not on this team yet.

Agree , they both are losers and should go but it is the Jets and they will stay and probably get an extension while the Giants will draft Darnold, have a franchise QB and get a great coach and GM.

The Jets will never have a strong organization as long as Woody and his clueless brother run the team.

I have been a die hard Jets fans since 1967 but this year I causally turn on the games.

We aren't heading anywhere without a QB.

LOL Mehta is a work of art. Back to back 5-11 years, a coach who is soon to be 20-28 in 3 years, a GM who has mediocre drafts, and most importantly no QB. Pass the bowl this way Mehta....

MM is a Bowles fan who basically destroyed Morrone when he was up for the job..so he will continue to be positive as long as Bowles is the coach...I think people are being way too positive because we were projected to win zero games..truth is the roster was never that bad and we should probably be in the WC hunt those teams aren't that good.

While QB is a problem for us we just got McNown into the pro bowl and had a great season from Fitz recently. So we should understand that it will take much more than a shiny new QB to fix this mess.

Our failure to mount a decent pass rush or to stop teams from running up the middle is our biggest problem followed by an offensive line that can not do enough to move the chains or to protect the QB. Throw in our problems at cornerback and one could argue that QB might be our fourth or fifth biggest problem at best.

McCown and Fitz had decent seasons and both literally blew games that they should of won that would have their teams in the playoffs. ( Especially Fitz). A good franchise qb, will put this team into the playoffs even with the other holes. A good qb will shield some of the deficiencies the team has. There is no perfect team and they all have their weaknesses but you barely notice them with a top 10 qb.

The last time they made the playoffs was 2010. It's now 2017 about to turn to 2018 in a couple of weeks.

A second round pick QB that is so bad he's a third stringer and hasn't been able to get in a game to get some experience in two non-playoffs seasons.

Still no long term answer at QB.

We'll see what the future holds. This upcoming offseason will set the stage for the next 5-10 years of Jets football supposedly a top QB draft coming up and some good veteran QBs could become available by trade or on the open market.

Right now I'm not seeing the rosy picture of the Jets future some want me to see.

Idzik, Marrone, Coughlin turned around Jacksonville in no time yet it's the same bs with the Jets. We're told to be patient, it's a process, we need a franchise QB to compete all BS so that incompetent front office ipeople can stay employed for as long as they can hold on to the jobs.

Well to begin with it's Mehta...

I keep hoping for that "magic bandaid" that will fix them, but the truth is there is no such thing. Failing the Johnsons selling to somebody who actually knows how to build a winning franchise, they need to hire a Pres. of Football Ops that knows how to do this and let him run the whole show. For 2018, that guy should already be in place, but because he isn't means I can only hold out hope for the "bandaid".

Until proven otherwise, they are still the SOJs.
