So far we've had bribery scandals, UCLA players shoplifting in China, and ESPN canceling the Tip-Off Marathon. Oh, and some games have been played.
In 1981 they came down to Olean and lost and cryin' Boeheim said immediately afterwards that he'd never play at Bona ever again. And they haven't. I guess this means he won't play us in the carrier dome now either
The board Duke fan here..... I knew the score, but didn't watch the game until today. Duke can't guard, may be an early out in the tourney unless big changes happen, but let me say this about St. John's..... Mullin has them playing some ball. I saw their record and wrote them off. I had no idea that of those 11 losses in a row that they played a few ranked teams, and almost every game they lost they could have won. They had a good record early, and I just figured they had an injury bug or something causing the down fall. After watching the game against Duke, they are a definite dark horse in their conference tournament. Just as you can lose 11 in a row, you can win 11. No excuses for Duke, the Johnnies are pretty damn good.
Wow St. Johns. You lose 11 in a row and then beat no.4 Duke and no.1 Nova (on the road) back to back. awesome stuff
I really like Xavier this year. Put down a couple hundred bucks on them to win the tournament at 20-1. We'll see how it goes.
Gee it only took losing 7 out of 9 games before the pollsters realized that maybe Oklahoma shouldn't be ranked - what a joke (and now losers of 9 of 11). Guess they too bought into ESPN's "Trae Young's the next Steph Curry" . hype as Young's chucking act has gone into free fall.. .
Not sure who's a more annoying announcer: Bill Walton or Dick Vitale? Walton sounds like he's high half the time, talks about random stuff. Vitale is just annoying. Love watching these college games especially when I bet on them but I'd really like a mute announcer feature.
Arizona wound up getting everyone back. Another FBI fiasco. My least favorite announcer is Bill ONIONS Raftery, although Vitale is somewhat annoying as well.
Dingleberry on Miami fouls a UNC player on a half court heave as time expires. It was 29-31 Miami. UNC hits all 3 FTs and wins the 1st half. Disgusting bad beat if you had the Miami 1st half.
Selection Sunday in 5 min. Not a big fan of this new format though. Not sure why they always have to mess with stuff that works.
