A lot of people like ripple. My personal opinion is that it's a bad medium to long term investment but potentially a good quick hit and run coin.

It doesn't use blockchain technology, the coins cannot be mined, there are going to be 100 billion coins created half of which will be held by the ripple company.

It just doesn't have the properties that makes Bitcoin valuable.

I think it sounds like good technology that will be useful, just not a good store of value.

Just my humble opinion. I could easily be wrong.

Correction: it does use blockchain. I mixed it with iota

I like IOTA's technology. The concept of transactions confirming other transactions prevents centralisation that mining allows. Notice how centralised Bitcoin and other mined currencies are. Even if they try to change how they're mined, people will figure out ways to mass mine. The problem with IOTA seems to be that it requires a critical mass of transactions for it to function properly, otherwise it needs to have centralised nodes (which is what it currently is doing).

Hope no one here sold off in panic haha. Tried to buy at the dip, since I got home around that time, but the exchange/wallet I can actually put money directly into instantly had basically crashed. Still might try put a small amount into Bitcoin for now since it's crazy low. Overall my investment into crypto hasn't been that large relative to my salary, so I'm not too worried if things end up tanking again for a while.

I don't know what you mean when you say bitcoin is centralized?

There are certain mining pools that hold immense sway on the transaction rate of bitcoin. Centralized mining rather than centralized governance, but still concerning. I was under the impression that the original intention was that mining would be spread out, rather than concentrated into mining servers, which leaves vulnerabilities.

Digibyte and & Siacoin (2 of the 3 coins I was told to buy into) are 2 of the top 5 in 24 Hour % gainers on coinmarketcap, 103% gain, and 76% respectively.

Unfortunately I only put a few hundred in each, going to start dropping thousands next time.

These 2 weeks have felt like forever, but then again ive gone much longer with less movement. Kinda got used to the price moving over the last year....It did get ahead of itself, I mean we were saying 13,888 for February, and that seemed like a long shot.

As always, not concerned whatsoever, I am ready for 2018, which will be the biggest year for crypto yet.

PS Ripple continues to move, while the whole market is down, grats to those in it.

Yeah its nice when you are in coins. When Bitcoin was dropping, my alts were doing fine so it moved it down a lot less than what it would have been.

Cliff High showing 64k, 100k, Bitcoin next year, he still has that 13888 number for February.

Again no worries at all. I just wish I had more fiat to buy more right now.

    Do you not buy ICOs?

I would consider it, Ive double the amount of BTC I own, (well in terms of dollar value), off of non BTC, althought that includes Litecoin.

Wait are you planning to buy Latium directly from the founder? I don't see any exchanges selling it.

I know, I found it before, just no exchanges listed on coinmarketcap.

Tell me why you are interested? I might jump into, why not.

Also congrats for those on Ripple again, I missed it, I knew it would grow but never thought this fast. However, I am being told Cardano is probably the next one, it was made by the guys who made Ethereum and they claim its better than Ethereum so......

I am really getting tempted to move some Bitcoin or litecoin into these alts, so tempting right now. I have 90% in BTC and LTC.......

I had never heard of Cardano - thanks for introducing me. I absolutely love the technology - just bought in. I wish there weren't so many coins, but the technology is impressive enough for me to buy in.

Ok here is another one, this is coming from ME, not Cliff High or the Trader, me.......(SNT) coin. It currently sits at 16 cents, however it is a mobile ethereum payment.

Just go to the site: status.im

It looks legit, appears legit, its #46 on coinmarketcap.....and I am looking at its chart, it might breakout again from what I am seeing......

There also seems to be a movement in investing in the cheap coins, we saw it with IOTA, now RIPPLE, perhaps Cardano next (it already moved from 40 cents to 75 cents since TB said to get in, however he wanted to buy in cheaper but it might not go down anymore and just proceed to go up)......So perhaps Status is the next coin in line to get its turn.

*threw in $600 at ADA over the last 24 hours, up $200. Shame I didnt put the 3k in I wanted. I was actually at work when the idea popped up but unfortunately cant do it at work and by the time I got out this morning it was up to 75 cents. Whatever, still might just do it.

*status is up to 17 cents. ugh oh, better get in, jk!!!!!!!!
