Teams above the Jets you could argue won't draft a quarterback: 49ers - Jimmy Garoppolo re-signs Colts - Andrew Luck gets healthy. Bears - Mitch Trubisky Bucs - Jameis Winston Bengals - Andy Dalton Brown' and Giants are the teams who likely grab a qb in the 1st round. Let's say Hugh pushes for his son Lamar Jackson...Jets could land whomever the Giants don't take between Rosen and Darnold. It's a crap shoot. Hopefully we get the good one.
Thanks for staying positive play You guys are so done at gettting the best it's sad If we move up to 6 or 7 I would do what the Eagles did with Wentz and give up 5 draft picks The worst move is to get Cousins or Bridgewater.that strategy HAS NOT WORKED..aren't we getting Our hero McGown back???? Rehire Joshy with the biotic hand and have him tutor one of the top 3 QBs we manage to draft ; fire Toilet if the kids agent starts complaining... tell Morton and our QB staff they are on a hot seat to create a winner You draft a kid who is practically NFL ready and it's an excellent future investment But for Gods sake draft a blue chip QB...home grow our own ..shake it up guys!!!!!!!!!
The Eagles gave up 5 picks to draft Wentz.......but there is no Wentz in this draft. Every one of them has major questions. If you are going to give up the next few year's draft capital, you have to be sure. I would not bank everything on Rosen or Darnold. Too much risk.
I can't see a scenario where Darnold and Rosen don't go 1 and 2. Either Cleveland and the Giants take them, or they trade out and someone else takes them. We will be picking between Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Mason Rudolph, Luke Falk .... or we will sign a veteran FA. Perhaps both.
Stop putting cousins and bridgewater in the same sentence. They are not even close and anyone who thinks they are is not watching correctly
idk, Teddy hasn't played in 2 years. Which I guess could be your point as he has been too injured to be effective but in terms of talent I remember him being at Cousins' level. They actually both have similar skillsets in many ways. And as far as Bridgewater goes - he would come cheaper. I wouldn't be upset with either guy
2 years ago Cousins and Bridgewater were at the same level. Since then Cousins became a top 10 QB and Bridgewater didn't play a snap. At this point they aren't even close.
Cousins is the worst move? A 29 year old QB coming of three consecutive 4,000 yard seasons has never happened before, so I am not sure how one can say this strategy has not worked.
there will be teams looking to trade above us to nab some of these QBs. If the Jets want one in the 1st round badly it doesn't matter where we end up in the order - - I believe they are gonna have to trade up to secure a QB
Every year the same deal.. Mahomes and Watson were also risks...what rookie doesn't have questions? No risk no reward
Yep. Way too many teams looking for a QB - that's why Buffalo is sitting pretty if they want to go on the offensive for a QB.
He is not infallible ..check out some of what other posters are saying about him 2017 : The Redskins have won 6 games and lost 8 to better caliber teams e.g. Phil Dallas New Orleans Chargers Minn Biggest wins: Rams and Seattle Meh...so if he comes here we get a SB .? Not so fast Quick fix Quick fix Quick fix ..not the Jets answer IMO we draft someone really good and develop him
No because we'll be taking defense again this year. Or Macc will be sleep during the draft and some other team will move up in the draft. Macc couldn't be bothered with doing that stuff he thinks he's smarter than all other GM's.
