You've basically given all the credit for the success of the 2009 and 2010 Jets teams to the fired Eric Mangini, and then you have the nerve to say my argument makes no sense. I'll give most of the credit to HEAD COACH Rex Ryan, and the rest to then GM Mike Tannenbaum. I refuse to continue this ridiculous debate with you.
Edwards is another frustrating player, he mixes in some excellent punts but there is always the threat of a shank or two every game, if he cuts those out he could make an excellent punter. Also isn't he 100% pass completion this season, just a thought
Jets fans grade on a curve. It's one of the great bi-products of being a losing franchise for so long. You have fans complaining about why they don't "let him" make more difficult throws when he's proven he can't make the simple ones.
Again, they were all first round picks. Hack was a 2nd round pick near the bottom of the round. Hack could never take an NFL snap in his entire career and he'd still not be the biggest bust in franchise history.
In year 3 In a week getting first team reps with a performance like this it is hard to think that Petty has the accuracy to be an NFL starter Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Youre ridiculous, youre argument just was mangini wasnt a good talent evaluator, so i name core jets players he drafted and you say im wrong and change the argument? Nice try, tell me again, who did rex draft? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Petty may not have the skill or ability to come back here, but it'd be nice if our head coach's first reflex wasn't to roll over like a dog.
He has only gotten snaps in one week of practice. It's not like the Saints are an easy matchup. Let's see how the next two games go before we come to conclusions. Bowles has had a couple years to screw up and some people still believe in him. How many chances did Geno get? The most important stat so far is zero turnovers. If we could run or defend that would be enough.
You can't have a QB consistently throw into tight coverage and make accurate throws. It has to be give a take to make the defense honest.
14-31-122-0-1. Not a good stat line..at all. I'd be interested in analyzing to see if the short calls were designed or if Petty was just bailing to checkdowns too quickly.
To be fair the saints are the number 1 offense in the league and the jets caused 3 turn overs which the offense scored a whopping 3 points off.
