That's the classic Todd Bowles accountability at work. No consequences until you're late for a meeting for the tenth time or so.
Now Bowles will let Petty throw, down 11 points with less than 10 minutes to go. When he gets sacked three times or gets intercepted, Bowles is going to say in the post-game "Bryce has to protect the ball better." I hope Petty's health insurance is paid and I hope the Superdome has its cart warmed up.
Actually there have been several plays where guys were open short and he either missed them entirely or had such bad ball placement that they couldn't get any YAC.

The play calling has been atrocious - let Petty be the one to hang himself if he screws up - the Jets coaching staff has redefined the term prevent offense
