USC isn't a top program the last few years. The Pac 10 in FB is like the PCL in AAA for baseball, all stats are skewed. It never was QB U, it was, at it's peak (pre-Pete Carroll) known as RB U.

Heck if Josh Rosen falls to us when we pick or if he even comes out rather have him than Sam

I'm surprised that no one is taking a gander at Quinton Flowers from South Florida.

    Passing: 63-119 (52.9%), 934 yards; 5-1 TD:INT ratio (10 TD, 2 INT); longest pass is 65 yards.
    Career: 6,153 yards; 56 TD, 19 INT (nearly a 3-1 TD-INT ratio), sacked 42 times.

Rushing: 87 attempts, 395 yards; 5 TDs; longest run is 44 yards.
Career: 2,989 yards, 35 TD, 11 career 100+ yard games.

He doesn't play in a "Power 5" conference, but he does has some wins over Power 5 teams (Syracuse twice, Illinois, South Carolina in last year's Birmingham Bowl).

Cons: he's not terribly accurate; small for a QB (6'0", 215).
Pro: he doesn't turn over the ball much and doesn't take many sacks; escape ability.

If a QB can't complete 60% of his passes in college, then the odds are strongly against his ever succeeding in the NFL.

Rosen isn't falling to anyone, my man. He'll be a top 2 pick if not the first overall selection.

The jets are fortunate to be looking for a QB in a draft as deep as this one. There will be QBs improving their stock (and dropping) throughout the college year. The jets will get a great talent in the top 10.

FWIW. being in the top-3 draft spots is a longshot now so, we can pretty much forget about being in the sweepstakes for one of the top 3 if not the top 6. Good thing we already have our FQB on the roster.

Keeping an eye out on some QB's that may enter the draft that have not been mentioned - one being Missouri QB Drew Lock - they will be paying Texas on Dec 27. 47 TD's 12 INTS - he was hot down the stretch throwing 26 TDs the last 6 games. Can make any throw. 6'4 225

I've seen him play many times. He's a Petty clone. Not interested.

Petty clone? Don't think I agree with that only because QB's are like fingerprints, no 2 are alike. I've watched enough film of both to see the differences.

Plus, unlike you, I'm not ready to give up on Petty just yet. 4 complete NFL games, and 1 road win - it tells me there's much more to see.

Such negative talk with 3 games to go!!..,smh

Whoever is ahead of us in draft order could pull off a win or two..who knows?

Our job is easy...lose out which is an odds on favorable outcome considering the strength of our opponent and a fairly inexperienced Mr Petty

When seasons over this is when the REAL challenge begins. MM has to make it happen that we move into a position to capture one of the top 3....or half the Fanbase are goners

A curve ball would be if Darnold stays in school. Then who's replacement would that be to fill the void? I think it's Allen.

Realistically, if you consider that Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield are the top 3 , they will be long gone before the Jets pick. Browns, Giants and Denver are the likely teams to pick a QB. I do like Josh Allen, a lot, and I think Mac does also. A good chance he'll drop to them, and they'll pull the trigger. So for me, if Mac likes the top 3, he'll have to mortgage the future. If he wants his man, then go for it.

Jets are taking Baker I think, its typical but the guy can get around defenses so there is that. I will not care for any QB we take this year. I am numb with this franchise.
