The league is gear so heavily to the offense and here we have the Jets stuck in the 70's taking defense every year. Two of the first round picks were discipline this past weekend and they still do not have a stout defense. I would unload the farm for Rosen. I'm talking Leonard Williams 2 1st and 2 2nd. Either go big or go home. But you would have to get our distracted owner back from England to sign off on it.

So how are you gonna close the gap? I mean the Jets draft history is way below subpar. So why not try something different. if it works out no one will care about the picks. Espeically the 2nd round ones where the Jets are awful at. This year they finally got a good player in Maye. Jets with Johnson. Bowles and Maccagnan will never do it. Its a joke to even think they will even go offense in the first round. They have no plan or direction. Especially if McCown is your major offseason decision.

The Jets will have too if they want any of them. Because if they don't others will be more than happy too. The Bills will be heavy players. The Jets will be out of the running. Darnold may not come out so that shrinks the choices.

probably not a surprise but I completely disagree with your evaluation of Cousins. I think he is the best available QB that could be starting for us next year(not very likely though)

I thought we agreed on stopping the name calling. Please rest a week and come back with the understanding that it isn't allowed to call people who think differently clowns after many private messages and requests.

    All

Stop the name calling and respect each other. Put each other on ignore if you can't stand the guy but don't turn off posters who are here to express their opinions by insulting them.

He's a JET, i want him to be great. I just question what management saw in person or on tape that made him get picked so high.
Even his highlight clips show ankle tackles and very few int's.
I believe he will improve but as of now Maye plays like a first rounder but doesnt receive the praises he should due to his draft position.
Adams may end up having the better career but right now Maye hits harder and has made big plays.

Did you see the TD pass Maye missed on Sunday? Talent plus experience equals success. There are no shortcuts.

Well if we can't get a decent quarterback in 2018 is time to build our OL let's use 2 of our first picks on our front.

Browns and Giants are picking top 2 and unless things change I'd expect Browns to go 0-16. Giants are tricky though because although they used to lose with Eli, they have now gotten rid of both McAdoo and Reese and have re-installed Eli as starter. Perhaps a resurgence is on the rise and they play spoilers? I can see them pulling off another game or 2 against division rivals like the Cowboys and Redskins.

Giants remaining schedule is Cowboys, Eagles, Cardinals, Redskins.

Selfishly, I'm hoping the Giants win 3 of those games and end up screwing themselves out of the 2nd pick.

By doing so, it would open up the possibility of jets trading up, but I would imagine the jets, even if they won 1 more game out of the last 4 would still have to give up a boatload of picks to move up.

I think at this point it's much more likely Jets would draft Mayfield or Allen over Rosen or Darnold.

At the very least 1. Blocking is essential to success. Talent may not be realozed when holes are not opened or time and space is not given for any qb to operate.

Giants clearly need a replacement for Eli but he seems to be so competitive that he will not accept or be willing to groom his potential heir. I think we are seeing his last days in a Giants uniform and need to begin thinking if he is a potential pick up next year. Is Eli better than Mcown? What would you give up to get him?

Eli would never come to the Jets so I don't think the Jets will have to decide anything on that front.
