he's gonna do good I think. ASU has some lofty/unrealistic expectations so it might be hard to live up to the program's idea of success but in terms of recruiting and coaching college football players I think that is something Herman Edwards will be good at
Lofty/unrealistic expectations are the problem with many college coaching jobs - not every coach can win each week, someone has to lose.
Herm wasn't actually supposed to"coach" ASU. He was supposed to assume a more executive role , like a GM. Napier was supposed to actually assume the duties of HC and Bennett was supposed to assume more duties as well. Both have left ASU.Napier to coach Louisiana-Lafayette, and Bennett for personal reasons. Now he finds himself with no staff . As far as recruiting, Herm is going to have a tough job ahead. He's lost 3 commits, including the lone 4 star prospect in ASUs class.
