I saw that and it should be further broken down to what percentage would it be with the Jets doing it lol. I just think the Jets don't have enough ammo to mve up and why would they do it with so many holes on both sides of the ball. Macc would't do it because he had a QB right there last year coming off a Championship winning season and he passed. Plus with the possiblity of 5-7 QB coming out the chances of getting wrong increases. Darmnold/Rosen Rosen/Darnold Darnold/Rosen/Allen/Mayfield, Mayfiled/Rosen/Darnold/Rudolph. If the player he picks doesn't light it up right away Macc will be blasted continuously.
I don't think Cousins will leave. I also think he will never come to the Jets as they are not a good fit. So I'm not gonna get my hopes up. After the season see what other options are available.
Who was our last dominant 1st round pick? Leo is good but not dominant...and the guys before him arent even in the league anymore if im not mistaken.
In this order Revis Mangold Mo/Brick It's really early to be passing judgement on Adams. Sure you just don't like him?
I agree a safer pick up but I don't think he'll hit the streets and I also believe the Jets don't have the balls to go and get. The Ginats might be in play for him also, Cardinals, Chicago, Cleveland even.
Revis Mangold/Brick were good players but not dominating. Mangini say what you want about his coaching or lack of coaching. He picked some good players for the Jets.
Your short a couple of first round picks. The Bills have 2 first,2 seconds and 2 third round picks and we're going to have to out bid them and others to move up.
Getting rid of Mo and Skrine would put us at just over $103 mill, add in Forte and Devin Smith and we're around $107 Million. We are $66,561,311 under the cap for next season but have $18,144,087 from this season that carries over so we have $84,705,398 before any cuts.
Of all the potential realistic options for QB going into next year, I personally think Cousins is close to the worst if not the worst...Sure the guy has some talent, but he's wildly inconsistent, extremely turnover prone and has yet to show he can win a game of any meaning. Is he better than what the Jets have right now, yes. If you couple his expected salary commitment next year with his talent is he better than what the Jets have now, no...With his expected 2018/beyond salary he goes from slightly above average to wildly, ridiculously overpaid in a heartbeat. I live in DC and trust me i get how poor of an owner Dan Snider is for a million different reasons, but if they thought Cousins was worth the money they'd have already paid it...one thing Snider is not is cheap, and he loves to buddy up with his star players...the fact they haven't signed Cousins is a big clue...He's got Neil O'Donnell written all over him. Forcing the immediate fix is "usual Jets" stuff...and overpaying Cousins (should they go in that direction) will not only cripple the team for the immediate future, but puts us right back in the search for the long term solution only minus the cap flexibility...and probably wipes out the Mac/Bowles regime in the process...At this point, as long as the money is reasonable, I'd look to bring back McCown, and go all in on their #1 QB draft target, whomever they think is the best guy. Sure I'd expect regression/injury next year for McCown, but the big difference between him and Fitz to me is, McCown gets his NFL lot in life (i.e. possible starter or possible back up/mentor) while still bringing leadership...Fitz was too selfish and totally did not understand his NFL lot in life...Clearly there's no gaurentee going the "draft" route, but I feel pretty confident that it's a better gamble than the "Cousins" route if the goal is winning at a high level vs. just shooting for slightly above mediocre...All the skins fans down here see it too, while they're worried about losing cousins, none of them think he's going to be worth the money/contract.
Haven't the Redskins been trying to sign Cousins long term. It's my understanding he turned down 2 lucrative long term deals over the past 2 seasons. Not that the Redskins haven't been trying to get him signed.
How about we acknowledge that Enunwa and Anderson were 'developed' under Bowles' watch under different OC's to boot. Is that too painful for some fans, or are we gonna cherry pick? Those two were looooong shots.
Plus 10million...POST OF THE YEAR People who are anti tanking or for buying Kurt C should read this 3xs a day ..sit down and shattup...ahahahah
Chin up Boozer After the McGown doll runs outa battery life who plays QB? Both Petty and Hack are our sloppy seconds practically thrown by the wayside...so it's NOT them Half the Board want Cousins like it's a fait accompli ....but in reality Wash may keep him and WHY WOULD HE WANT TO COME HERE WITH $ BEING EQUAL AND OFFERS FROM 6 OTHER TEAMS??? The clowns on this Board think if we hang a QB wanted sign at Jet Drive Kurt C will ring the doorbell...smh...too Funny If they bring back McGown and pass up a class of top notch QB prospect then iam so done here "NO ammo to get it done ???" Find the ammo for sh*tsake !!! And as Greensleeves said we get it right with 63% odds on our side Howie Roseman and the Eagles got it done for Wentz paying 5 future picks Man up Mac...keep Bowles outa your ear with his stupid self serving advice Stop kicking the can and create a great O through the draft already!
exactly what proof that mac only picks the player bowles is in his ear about? and if he does, why would you want him making picks if he can't evaluate for himself? and should i report you for calling people clowns after you reported a bunch of people for criticizing your posts? all honest questions
I was gonna say the same thing. You beat me to it. Broad site wide personal attack. All the while promoting factionalism towards some good fans from the start, with a few cohorts no less.
