Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I believe this is the first time the Jets have beat a Andy Reid coached football team. I don't remember the Jets beating his team when he was in Philly and they beat the Jets in KC last season. He pretty much owned the Jets until today it started off like it would be another L vs Andy. Good solid win for the Jets. Stick a fork in KC they're done. They're 2017's 2016 Vikings.
Cant say I am upset when they win. Denver is so bad, the Jets will likely be 6-7 after next week. Any thoughts of a top 5 pick have vanished.
Well, we can always re-sign McCown for another $6mil and draft a second tier Qb to take Petty's place rotting away on the roster.
We'd be stupid not to re-sign McCown. The guy's playing well, he's a tremendous leader, and would likely be the perfect mentor to help a rookie quarterback learn the ropes.
To be honest, this mentor thing is a little bit overrated. What will a washed up QB will give to a rookie QB a QB coach or OC can't give. I won't mind McCown back for cheap but will be furious if he is paid 6M like you say.
