Now if only he could hold onto the damn ball. His failure to do so has cost us 2 games now. Wide open in the end zone, easy catch dropped, then he can't even secure the ball on the 2nd one. Good for him cleaning up his life, but he needs to clean up his butterfingers. If he fixes that he could be a top TE in the NFL.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ow-robbed-seferian-jenkins-of-two-touchdowns/ It's things like this that make me want to stop watching football. All this technology and they still can't call it right. Fuck these replay things, they need to just call it how they see it on the field.
We haven’t gottten a call since they thought vinny’s helmet was the ball crossing the goal line, which started this instant replay crap. Seems like they’ve been making up for that call ever since.
We got a pretty good call against NE the one time Geno beat them at home, can't remember if that was 2013 or 2014. I think 2013. Anyway, we wouldn't have won the NE game even if the ASJ non TD was ruled a TD and I'm pretty certain Carolina still finds a way to beat us if ASJ catches 1 of the 2 he, by rule and one was for sure a drop, dropped.
This ^ 1000%! Get rid of IR and embed a use infrared or lasers on the goal line and sidelines (or whatever they use in hockey in the goal mouth). Then let the refs call it as they see it. Such a waste of time and they STILL get it wrong, so just go with the first call. It worked for decades before. Has the game gotten better since IR? Not in my opinion!
It's gotten worse absolutely. They try so hard to over-tune the plays. These calls could have stopped ASJ from making the pro bowl.... I think he had a small shot too.
Replay sucks. No one knows when to celebrate - if a TD is real or not. Make me wonder how many great catches in NFL history were not catches after all. The technology has outpaced the rules that were established that made this a good game. hell, I'd even get rid of the break the plane TD rule. if you break the plane along the sidelines you're not out of bounds. Why is the goal line different?
I agree. If I remember right, it used to be that the ENTIRE ball had to be in the EZ. not just "breaking the pane". That's how it is in soccer, from which football was developed from: the ENTIRE ball has to be over the touch or sideline to be "over" or "out". They need to return to that interpretation.
Yes. For every call replay ‘fixes’ I bet it screws-up two. Get rid of it. It may even force the refs to squint a bit during play.
