The question I would be asking is, how long do they truly have to prove they can play in the NFL? 5 years? How many have slipped by already? If they're hiding this amazing talent, they should probably let someone outside of the scout team know about it, because time is ticking. Mcgown is a maddening player. He makes some beautiful throws and decisions, and then he fucking goes dark and does some wrongo type shit. When you have 2 backups that really aren't going to help your cause, you may choose to go with the old guy with mostly ok skills. To me that makes him the worst kind of QB to have. He does just enough to keep a desperate coach in his corner. "A play here, or a play there, we could have...." But ultimately brings nothing but crushed souls with his wrongo ass shit fire Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
You're placing your faith in - and asking the rest of to - a CS that has shown it's very prone to making mistakes, over a long period of time, over and over. So you think their judgment is infallible? Okay. I don't.
seriously??? The Giants will bench a player who today would be our best qb we've ever had for good ol jaws and we have to trot out fitz 2.0. This is the biggest example of the Giants being a proper run organization and us being a joke that I've ever seen in my life. They will love having a qb for another 15 years meanwhile we will get jacoby brissett or matt mcgloin
This is why the Giants and Mara are a bunch of weasels. Nothing to admire here at all. What if the Browns take Rosen, and Darnold decides to return to USC? They are transparently trying to lose, while throwing the coaches and players under the bus, and for what?...........there's a very good chance it's all for nothing. They are moving in the wrong direction imo.. I love it.
And us not doing it is why we are a bunch of losers and they are a winning franchise. It's a business
Th They are winning the long game and it's obvious. How will drafting another D player help us. Hmmmm I wonder if it will be a non pass rushing slow d linemen or an injury prone corner back. Heads says non pass rushing slow d linemen and tails says injury prone corner back
How are they winning the long game? There isn't an elite blue chip QB in this draft. If there were, the Browns would draft them. If they do reach for a QB, they have no offensive line. They also have no cap space. The QB will be in a tough spot. They have also pissed off the players and fan base, and will be faced with huge turnover in offseason. As bad as our situation may be, there is no doubt the Giants situation is way worse. They will continue to suck for quite awhile. Sit back and enjoy it.

How will they have rebuilt their franchise in 2 years tops? They don't have next year's GM, Coach or QB even on the roster.. You are applauding a team for losing when they don't even have a direction at this point. You think one top 5 draft pick changes all that, to the point starting Geno Smith is praise worthy? The Giants are a mess..
You're forgetting the fact that if the Jets did something like that, the players would all degenerate into whiny pouting children because "Pops" wasn't on the field. They couldn't possibly finish the season unless Pops was behind center. The Giants are idiots for finding out what they have already on the roster by actually seeing it on the field in real time. Everybody knows Eli is good for another 5 years at least. They're 2-9.. no real reason to change anything.
really cause eli is still not benched despite him pretty much sucking the last 4 years (and making about 20-25 mil a season while doing it) and even now at 2-9 still not benched despite them having drafted webb and signing geno. they could let one of the 2 younger Qbs go at it knowing eli could be done soon but they won't
Yea I don’t see them bouncing back from this anytime soon. No coach,no gm, bad line, bad characters in the lockerroom and philly set to dominate the division for a long time. Not sure who everyone thinks their savior is but I don’t see it.
look who you're trying to be reasonable with. Too many short sighted bipolar fans on this board. this is what i imagine the browns board is like
I half expected the whole “whoa is us, geno will be good for Them for the next 10 years “ post. Somewhere in here today.
I hope they do draft a FQB, but they had a chance to do that last year and passed it up. Personally, I wanted them to draft DeShaun Watson, who was looking like Rookie of the Year material before he got injured. Who knows what opportunities the Jets will pass up?!
