Thanks for the clarification. As I said, I knew you were at least partially joking or being sarcastic, but I have been constantly amazed at the things that poster find or see on the web and report back here. For all I knew there was some website tracking Mac and the Jets' scouts. For the record, it was pretty funny, and would have been even moreso if I wasn't concerned a little that it might be true! LOL
Denver plays 5 games in a row against teams with losing records. So its possible they can win another game other than the Jets. Realistically, 49ers and Browns are locked in a top 2. If the Giants can beat the Redskins on Thanksgiving, there is a chance they could finish at 5-11. Colts are 3-7, and its hard to find a win on their schedule, aside from maybe Denver. Barring a run from the Giants or Colts, this is likely the order if Jets lose out. Browns 49ers Colts Giants Jets Colts and 49ers are not looking for QBs so that possibility to move up exists. Moving back 2 spots and picking up extra picks is more attractive than two mid to late first found picks from the Bills, IMO.
The sad thing is that I should be privy to inside information, my wife is very close friends with a Jets higher-up, but I get nothing, not a crumb.

I know its possible they can still win 8-9 games and make the playoffs, but after losing 5 of the last 6 its pretty much over. Whether you want to wait until they're mathematically eliminated to root for the loses is fine, but even the most optimistic on this board can see where not a playoff team. I know Bowles will probably give it till next week vs Kansas City until he even considers benching McCown, but I think if we lose to KC then we should without a doubt bench McCown and see what Hack/Petty can do. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year and we have looked good at times, but we need help in the offseason and for that reason I am now 100% on the tank bandwagon.

Young players need experience. What they will learn in the last five games will benefit them down the line.
