Haven't read this whole thread but isn't anyone worried about Jackson's play against better opponents. I know he doesn't have the best supporting cast and he can't pick who he plays but over the last 2 seasons 33 of his 48 TDs came against opponents with a combined 37-72 record, Somewhere around 33 TD, 3 INTs and completion pct in the upper 60's against those teams. Against the better teams he is around 15 TDs, 12 INTs and completion pct around 55%. I could be off a little on completion pct and INTs but not by much.
I think you definitely take some of that into account. However, he stock shouldn't take a big hit because of it. In 2016, Lamar couldn't win from within the pocket consistently and I think you can attribute some of the mistakes on him as well as the team as a whole. The Louisville receivers aren't the most sure-handed as well. There are games where they dropped maybe 6 to 7 passes. Against Syracuse last year I believe, his receivers dropped 10 passes in 1 game. However, the one thing I've noticed watching this guy play is he isn't a turnover machine, he tends to make good decisions with the football despite having a subpar offensive line. This year however, there has been a huge growth in his pocket presence. While his team isn't great, he doesn't make that mistakes against really good defenses or at least bone breaking mistakes that cost the game. He controls what he can control on the field. Doesn't press it TOO much.
I was looking for that, he has work to do, but his throwing motion is excellent. Can drop a dime better then any college QB prospect ... A few years of film and work on his fundamentals and I think you got a guy that can play in this league. Really liking this draft class ... Rosen, Darnold is starting to regain his swagger, Jackson and Mayfield.
At least someone sees the light. I have been saying the same thing. "Jackson deserves plenty of credit for his achievements at Louisville, but he's simply not in the same stratosphere as Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen and Josh Allen as a pro prospect. So, don't waste your breath even discussing the possibility of Jackson being in the conversation for their first-round pick in the upcoming draft. He won't be. The notion that the Jets would even consider Jackson in the second round is high comedy. Gang Green simply isn't going to invest a premium pick (first three rounds) on him. Period." Jets Mailbag: How Gang Green really feels about Louisville QB Lamar Jackson
Just because he makes your dick hard and you want to slobber all over his balls, does not make him a good NFL QB. Why not pull your head out of his ass long enough to catch your breath, you're becoming light headed.
Thanks for the clip! It's hard to tell from that whether it's his receivers letting him down, or his own passing mechanics that lead to so many incompletions. I'd say it's some of both. The number of balls knocked down by intermediate defenders is very troubling because that will get much worse in the pros. I'd say that he might actually consider playing another year in college to refine his passing skills. His ability to run and scramble is excellent, and he seems to read the field well - with the exception of his "blindness" of those intermediate defenders - but in the pros he's going to live or die on his passing, and right now I think that's the weakest part of his game from what i saw here.
Is 101 trolling again ???? He's a Pats fan who joined in 2008 ....how much you wanna bet!!!!!!! He has it wrong maybe 1000% of the time Jackson is Vick 2.0 ...PASS
Wow you really are the worst poster on this board. Thanks for the confirmation. OH BTW, bet your entire life savings on it
Your evaluations are shit dude, that's why. 1. Anyone that uses a Mehta article as proof to evaluate a QB is either straight up trolling or just straight up stupid. I am going to guess the latter. 2. Did I say your evaluations are shit? Oh yeah, I did because not once do you evaluate the QB from a skill-set perspective. That's because you can't. You bring up collegiate statistics as if they hold some large amount of weight. Please take your diarrhea filled opinions back to your own worthless thread, where you think Mason Rudolph is the best QB prospect.
Hey man, just calling it how I see it. I don't think that's hostile, just being straight up honest. BTW put away the juice, it's too early. Oh God, 2 really bad posters are onto me, someone call the Justice League
The Juice and sauce is your projection ...it gives you confidence to attack posters in your nasty way you dont see you what you say and how you say it..??? Most egotistical a holes never do...Of course next to 10is words of wisdoms were all bad posters (I have over 2000 likes and have been on here less time) Try rereading your comments (put downs) Bud hmm Justice League ?? Thors Hammer sounds good
Juice must be doing it's job, what is this rambling? Congrats on the likes by the way, I don't base myself on the # of likes I have and I don't compare the # to others. Sounds like an egotistical thing to do, no? I suggest you stop populating this thread as this thread is about Lamar Jackson, a top 5 QB prospect.
You know you’re a bad poster when you have to point out your “like” totals. Lamar is getting a bad rep having to run . Of course that would help him behind our o line while he feels out the speed of the game.
