The best QB coach in the history of football wouldn't be able to develop Petty into anything more than his ceiling. He is a back up QB, and you can't make chicken salad from chicken shit. Petty is another Kellen Clemens.
It is triple A because there is no other place to get better. Maybe the Lingerie League for Hackenberg. But those gals hit pretty hard. He's dodging the questions about his coaching ability to get Hackenberg ready for the NFL. I will call that an epic failure so far.

I can't help but think the coaching hasn't been up to scratch for a young kid to show not a great deal of improvement in 2 seasons and if the coaching is bad then a new fresh young prospect isn't going to have a much better time in jet land unfortunately.

Didn't this coaching staff give Petty and Hack pretty much all of OTAs / TC AND Preseason to see if they were ready to start? I mean McCown didn't even play the 3rd and 4th game. C'mon now. They aren't good, Mac around the country scouting QBs, read between the lines.
