Chad Pennington has yet another poor game...where do we go from there? They possess one of the worst defenses against the pass. I know it is likely that CP has a good game, but lets say for matters sake that Pennington infact struggles. Do we bench him for Ramsey or for Clemens? Or do we stick it out with Penny? At this point in his career if he can't win a crucial November game against a bad pass defense I think it would be time to look elsewhere. I would go with Clemens.

Pennington is one of my all-time favorite jets...not even for his play. He is tough, well spoken, smart and a resilient person. If we lose sunday due to his poor play a move must be made though.

I finally went to a game this season this past sunday so if she was on tv I didn't see it. I wouldn't be surprised if she was though.

    This thread doesn't matter.

Chad will have a good day against a bad team and will get the win.

However, I will go along with your thread.

If he has a bad game and the Jets drop to 5-6, BENCH HIM.

Anything can happen in the NFL NYJ2K06...penny struggled against the browns when he should have played much better.

Yeah true. The real question is what if Chad leads the Jets in a shoot out with a very good Texans offense and David Carr gets the final touchdown to Johnson with 0:04 left on the clock and the Jets lose 38-35. Then what do you do?

Excellent question...I don't think that would happen, but if it did I would stay with pennington...as long as he gets off this 6 game streak where he has struggled I would keep him in...

Like i've said...If Chad goes 12-30 190 yards 2 INTs, and just bad floaters and misthrows in a 17-10 loss...

Then I would like to see Clemens.

I think you keep Chad in there. It's moot, he'll have another 2 shitty games but they'll be spread out. The last one will be in Oakland, and it'll be for a playoff spot. And then we need to back in. I know this script, I've been here before.

Last game of the year is home against the Raiders and I doubt Chad would play bad.

he'll get benched when were officially elimintaed if his play continues to be poor, but not beofre that. If he plays like crap Sunday, the pressure will be on for him and Mangini to come clean about his health status.

If we somehow blow this game, it might be time to start clemens if chad sucks against the texans pitiful secondary.

Gameplan should be to run first on Sunday.

Then open up with some play action. Should help Chad out.

Could be a big day for the offense.

If the defense plays like it has since the 4th quarter of the Browns game, the Jets may win big.

That's a stupid game plan. They're going to stack 8 in the box and just play the run. What more can play action do exactly? They're already playing the run and the short passes. The gameplan should be to come out throwing 20 yard outs or deep passes, but of course, if Chad could actually do that, we'd win games against decent defenses.

Maybe I'm sentimental, but I'd like to see him start all 16 just to show he can.

NO NO NO NO. What kinda of fans are we if was are to hypothetically think we going to lose to the Texans. They just lost to the bill and we played great against two tough opponents (pats and bear). No need to talk about what if we lose to the Texans.

If we look at the texans message board there fans don't even have faith in there team and we are not going to be just like them. We are better fans than that. And why talk now what if we lose to a team, there was no thread on what if we lose to the pats, or what if we lose to the bears. there is no need fo a thread like this. We need to have faith in our team, they have given us a reason to, and thats the least we can do. We better believe we can win every game. I rather seeing a thread about how we can win every game for the rest of the season than see a thread on this crap.

I can't beleive the lack of faith in Chad on this message board. He just beat the Patriots on the road two weeks ago! Trust me, as a Patriots fan and a close observer of the Jets, Chad is the best option right now. The guy is good. What are you going to do, go with a rookie or P-Ram? C'mon. Let Mangini build a solid defense and then let Chad manage the offense as he can do as well as anyone..... Just be careful what you wish for...

Mangini is not the kind of coach who will allow for Pennington to flounder again; it just won?t happen. If penny does stink up the joint then he will be pulled during this game, In favor of Patrick Ramsey if not the entire game maybe two series or a quarter. If this does occur then I think this is the best situation for any QB to come into, concidering the Texans pass defense.
