The only one's who questioned Maccagnan for the draft selection of Jamal Adams, are the one's who don't follow college football (small percentage).

Stealing Jamal Adams while he was sitting there 6th overall was big for this franchise. Kid would've been deserving of the 1st overall pick. A beast Safety from the SEC & highly recruited since day one. We landed a generational type of defensive player.

One heck of a 1st hald on the road picked up like 5 tackles, 1 sack, 2 tackles behind the L.O.S & a key tipped ball into Wilkersons hands resulting in a TD for our offense. Adams is everywhere.

How's that prediction looking now? Adams looks like garbage and great job Macc taking another defensive bum in the first round. The stars have really aligned with the Jets maybe even curse them for life. You could probably pick players blindly and do a better job than Idzik and Macc. Maye is the better player and we could have just been fine with him picked where he was and drafted someone else at #6.

Except we didn't need a stud safety at #6. We needed a QB and still, do. The stud safety was the 2nd round guy. The way Adams is playing we could have gotten away with someone else in the draft much, much, much, much later in the draft or UDFA.. Once again what a waste. Adams sucks.

I don't think there's any question that he had a bad game today, and has certainly had problems in coverage for a while. Meanwhile, Watson is the first QB since the merger to have 19 TD passes in his first 7 starts. Ouch.

    Let's all breathe here.

He has more weapons in Houston.

    Adams will be fine.

I remember Watson's college head coach saying right before the draft that passing on him would be like passing on Michael Jordan...

As good as Adams has been, this one still might end up stinging for years...

Kearse and Anderson are no slouches though. It’s safe to say Watson would have a much bigger impact here then Adams has had.

This maybe true but the Texans have Hopkins, who's better then any Jet WR on the roster. And I'd argue Will fuller is better and definitely more dynamic then any Jet WR. Anderson may have benefitted the most from a Watson here but this WR corps is mostly possession type guys.

Watson has guts. Not sure he’s a NY guy.

    Still love the Adams pick.

Yeah, he never would make it in NY, given how he "folded" in 2 N.C. games and so far at Houston.

Oh I think Adams will be okay, even more than okay, and maybe even great. That still doesn't mean he'll have a bigger impact than a FQB would have.
