Figured I would put this here and not the Jets main forum as these are players that no longer employed by the Jets.

ANNNDDDD that's why you have no job Rex. He will never get another job ever again IMO.

Not surprised by those remarks at all.

I guess Sanchez did cuckold Rex's wife ... Rex gets a tattoo of Sanchez's jersey, but he's no franchise QB?

How about every 3 and forever that Ryan would call an all out blitz on and get burned because every OC in the league figured out how to exploit it and get first downs, keeping possessions alive?

Just like his dad, blamed everyone else.

Rex always tries to sell himself. All he wanted to be was his father. Fact is mark may have had a chance to be a franchise qb but they pulled the safety net away from him instead of easing him into it. Took away his weapons ignored the aging o line while building Rex’s 3-4 d line. But apparently that’s not on Rex, wasn’t his job to see that mark developed

Rex is such a loser is makes me sick. Even more unfortunate because 2009 and 2010 was a lot of fun for me as a fan, but now I could care less and hate being reminded about it. He is one of my least favorite coaches ever. Never holds himself accountable for the mess he made in New York and how he wasted a talented team in Buffalo. He is a clown. He praised Sanchez every day of the week. Revis too. Geno too. Everyone. Yet now they held him back, right? Embarrassing.

Rex doesn't hold himself accountable for his mistakes, so he never learns from them. That's why he got fired in Buffalo. Shame because coaches who learn from their mistakes often succeed the second time around.

On the real, how many times did this fat motherfucker tell us that Sanchez was going to be great? It's comical how full of shit this guy is. I'm very proud of the fact that I saw through him relatively early in his tenure. Fucking tool.

What was worse than his coaching was the fact he became buddies with Woody who let him destroy the franchise by making all the personal decisions...does he talk about that?

Blaming everyone but himself? He merely made a statement of fact that Geno & Sanchez were both garbage. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that. Kind of dirty to throw them under the bus like that, though.

    Bingo
Sanchez and Geno didn't get better. But either did he

Not buying his take on Sancho....I got the impression he was ALL in with that pick.

Not shocked. Rex has blamed everyone around him for his mistakes and as a result he’s now working for espn. Sanchez could have been good if he didn’t get the rug pulled out from under him. The degradation in talent, specifically at WR and OL can really ruin a QB. Then left him in to get murdered in a meaningless preseason game versus the giants and you just flushed any opportunity for someone to succeed down the drain.

He would always talk big but the jets consistently fell short of the game that truly mattered. Ultimately that’s why he doesn’t have a job, too much talk, too little results. Could never live up to the hype he would so often speak of

What about Rex and Idzik? When has he taken accountability?

A Defensive coach with a big mouth sounding off about Offense?? I least Bowles talks ALOT less

Great job coaching Rex...the team was playoff ready and came out flat as a thumbtack for that playoff game vs Steelers

We haven't been that close since and blew it

At the end of the day Sanchez played well in those two AFC title games. It was Rex's defense that cost the team.

What did he say that is incorrect? Idzik gave Geno absolutely nothing to work with, and Sanchez never improved.

This was an article about a specific topic - the QB’s he coached, not an analysis of why the team lost, and doesn’t even attempt to enter the territory of absolving himself of any blame for the team’s shortcomings.

It takes a tremendous amount of dishonesty to attempt to claim he is discussing a topic when the article clearly states it is something specific and otherwise.
