Now that we are 5 games in and fans have a better idea of how the jets perform (i guess all that 0-2 wins nonsense can be put to rest) lets see the predictions for the rest of the year NE loss 3-3 Fins Win 4-3 Falcons loss 4-4 Bills Win 5-4 bucs loss 5-5 panthers loss 5-6 chiefs loss 5-7 broncos win 6-7 saints win 7-7 chargers win 8-7 pats loss 8-8 I can see a respectable 8-8 season for us (or we'll say between 7-9 wins no playoffs) . sucks for the "suck for sam" sweepstakes but a good improvement over last year and we have tons of money to spend, plenty of draft picks (all our picks plus an extra 2nd) lots of young players. guys like enunwa and moulden coming back off injury. Outlook for 2018 doesn't look too bad at all.
Well, there will be a few immediate tests needed this weekend to be able to piece the schedule together the rest of the way. - Can the offense bounce back after an abysmal performance? - Can the defense stop the run? - How do the Jets hide Lee in coverage (he was supposed to be the answer to Gronk) - Can the Jets play competitive football with the Patriots? - Can the Jets eliminate mental mistakes at the line of scrimmage and not get costly penalties? etc. The answers to most of those is usually no and therefore I expect a big loss this weekend.
5-6 wins. Normally I'd be more optimistic than this sitting at 3-2, but that schedule is a doozy. If they do end up somehow being .500, they better figure out a way to trade up for a QB.
I don't see how any 5-11 LBer would be the answer to the 6-7 gronk. Gronk has no answer, that is why he is who he is. best bet would be a tall safety with some speed to cover him. no LBer in the NFL is covering gronk
We will lose every game against NFC South and Chiefs, Broncos for sure. We will win one against either the Fins or Bills not both. Win against the Chargers. Prediction 5 Wins It is great to have won a few and say we are in first place. But keeping it real we are going to be destroyed a lot more often the rest of the season than be in close competitive games.
Trust me - it is Spirit Week at my school where I teach and today was Sports Team day. I proudly wore my Mangold jersey telling all my students "First Place Baby" I have to say that as much as I can this week, because heaven knows when I will be able to say it again. I am going to tell my class No HW next week if the Jets beat the Pats. That will be 125 more Jets fans next week.
i am going to say 4-12 total which is 1 game better than my original 3-13. really is ironic that the giants may very well end up getting the QB the jets instead should get. the football gods never let this team go.

I predicted 4-5 wins prior to the season, and while they look better than I thought they would, I'll stick with my prediction. And hopefully Petty starts to play soon.
I said 6 before the season and I'll stick with that. But no matter if they win 5, this is an emerging football team that is flat out fun to watch on a week in and week out basis. I like this team, I like this team's future even more.
OMG You all are wildly optimistic after beating the Browns???? Not to be Debbie Downer but there is a total of 3 or 4 wins here Breakdown: L for NE L for Miami (they just beat the Titans plus Div game L for Atlanta and M Ryan L for Buffalo (they are a tough, competitive team plus Div game L TB and Winston L Carolina and Cam plus coming off bye we play terrible L KC and A Smith/smart Coach L away at Denver extremely tough class of the west AFC NEw Orleans and Drew Bree's prob L maybe win Chargers and Rivers will be tough game prob L NE no miracles here L Wind up: We definitely get 1more win but NOT 2 in all probability Sorry guys I personally would not be happy with some outstanding improvement on team that leads to 5 wins and out of a FQB hunt...SOJs JMHO
