I think trading S Richardson affected our pass rush especially since Mo Wilk is mailing it in. Where is Leo Williams ??? Is he asleep too.? The trade to get Kearse has paid off but Brady will pick you apart with no pressure on him..I dunno maybe we run some safety blitzes at him Ideally the Defense wakes up but I wouldnt count on it
As we are the Jets and we tend to play down to an opponent AKA the Browns we tend to play up against teams such as the Pats so I expect a hard fought game as we will come to play ... that said we prob lose a nail biter 34 - 31 AKA the Packers Cowboys ...
Call me crazy but the AFC is wide open heck the Raiders who destroyed us are 2 - 3 (Yes the Carr injury shows) they will bounce back when he returns but after KC the rest of the league is wide open look at how Ben played against a team that we beat (barely)
With Ealy back the pressure on Brady should be there. I feel Williams is being used incorrectly at this point, Williams and Ealy should be bookends on this defense, with Wilk and Mclendon playing inside. Wilk is still dealing with a bum shoulder last I heard from Bowles presser.
Realistically look at the rest of the Schedule: vs. Patriots at Dolphins vs. Falcons vs. Bills at Buccaneers vs. Panthers vs. Chiefs at Broncos at Saints vs. Chargers at Patriots Anything can happen any Sunday, but realistically the Jets can finish the season better than I expected. I said (5-11), but now I could see (7-9) or even (8-8). And that includes a win Sunday against the Patriots. Pretty impressive for a complete, tear it down, start all over, Rebuilding Season.
Id say wins against the Bills, Dolphins and Bucs are most likely, maybe the Saints. Although they will blow a winnable game as well as win a game they shouldn't so I'm leaning toward 6-10 at least Bart Scott keeps his car
Solder is clearly hurt and the NE line hasn't played well at all this year. On top of that Brady is without Edelman, Gronk has been out as well and he's getting hit all the time. Even with all that said, he has 11 TD's and one pick this season. Seems that the older he gets the more comfortable he is getting hit.
His explosiveness is gone. You can tell he's a step slower out there, it's not the effort but just doesn't have that explosive step he used to have. It's kind of sad. He's just very beat up at this stage. Regardless, the Jets should not be blitzing Brady, they should continue to send 4 or 5 and cluster the middle of the field. Pats can't run the ball well and they don't have a good deep threat. I think the Jets with Ealy back, they can pin their ears back and I think we'll start seeing some sacks because they've been very good in terms of HITTING the QB, but just not getting there for the full on sack.
pats are gonna kill us. we would have lost to the browns if they weren't so pathetic. funny note, the steelers lost to the jags and bears now. We may be a better team then them
I agree, always getting hits, just are a split second too late to get the QB for a sack. Ealy should be hungry to show up versus the pats since they cut him.
OMG Dark no way do I see that happening unless it's from your mouth to Gods ears Other than a Jay Cutler : the Jets D goes up against GOAT Brady, Rivers, Brees, Cam Newton, A Smith, M Ryan J Winston ...of those QBs mentioned they can carry their team to outright win T Taylor and Trevor Simian are surrounded by great players and are both very good We are beating Miami again (I Think) but that's it man If we manage to take down NE then you are on the $ perhaps
I'm not saying its going to happen.... But Im Gonna go ahead and say this... Nobody will take us lightly if we be the Pats on Sunday.... We are about to get some answers as to what the last 3 games meant... Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
I am still seeing a lot of dink and dunks, but you maybe correct sir he is getting the ball down the field. He has a lot of 20 yards or more plays down the field. I stand corrected.
That is actually a fair point. Cutler, Bortles and Kizer/Hogan were all pretty bad QB's. Carr, the only true good QB to play the Jets so far, torched them with ease. Time will tell.
We almost always play the Pats well at home, but this is one of those games where the difference between losing a heart-breaker and actually winning the game is HUGE. I'd be surprised if we got blown out, but shocked if we actually won.
