Unforgivable false start there - 5 yards and 10 seconds.

Do teams always just piss games like this or are the Patriots just that friggain lucky? Cmon man. They're better than this.

That's on Winston and the center. Line was obviously moving on first hit.

Wow. Wrong decision there. It looked like he had #18 Adam Humphries I believe in the farther seam.

That's a game they easily could've and should've had. Winston rushed that final throw too. Tried to get it to him before the end zone so he could go beast mode and run over 3 defenders lol.

This was a good game. But these Thursday nights continue to be extremely sloppy.

False starts, holds, bad snaps, receivers not in sync with the quarterback, neutral zone infractions, etc. all over the damn place.

Wake up Goodell and the NFL! This is a subpar product!!!!

Think they'd like those 10 seconds back from the false start? Just awful.

He's better than any quarterback we've had in a long long time save for one or two seasons by Pennington. I would take him in a heartbeat especially with a young developing team.

    JV

Look. Your football knowledge amazes me. I love reading your posts. But you are wrong on this one. Winston is mentally weak. He will never ever live up to hype. He won't even achieve the success Alex Smith achieved in this league. Watch. King of mediocrity. Mental weakness is the death of QB's. He is mentally weak.

How is he mentally weak? Was he mentally weak when he lead the Seminoles to a National Championship victory? What about when he became only the third rookie to throw for 4,000 yards in the NFL with a previously 2-14 record the season before?

He makes some dumb mistakes on the field. If he can cut the interceptions down to the 10-12 range he's going to have a great season. He's slowly increasing his completion percentage from 58.3% to 60.8% up to 63% although that will go down a little bit after tonight.

He's a born winner. I can foresee him getting to a Super Bowl before his careers over.

Not sure where all of the hate for him comes from. You're also very loosely throwing around the word retard for someone that has demonstrated at least a very high IQ on the football field. Quarterbacks that perform at a high level are probably the smartest in-sport athletes, especially those playing in this era that requires them to read defenses and think on their feet.

Okay. You are right on the mentally retarded piece. I shouldn't have said that. Now about his Superbowl. I am not saying he won't. He might end up with a great coach and be part of the ride but I just don't see it JV.

Brate has been eating all of his snaps and targets. Winston loves that guy

It makes the pick a bit puzzling. If this guy Brate had the talent why didn't they upgrade another part of the team?

Brate was really good last year too with 660 yards and 8 touchdowns. Good hands in the red zone too normally even though he did drop a perfect throw prior to a Folk miss.

As I said earlier I think Jabrill Peppers would've been a nice addition to a young secondary that's still playing Chris Conte who is just god awful in coverage.

Taco Charlton and Charles Harris were both on the board as well. Would've given them a potentially young and upcoming set of bookends to pair with Noah Spence and then Gerald McCoy in the middle of that D.

Good to great 4-3 defenses accumulate good pass rushers like the Giants Super Bowl winning teams and the Seahawks of recent. You can never have enough fresh pass rushers.

I hope the Jets start to do this, regardless of the base formation we stick with.

I didn't understand it either. I owned Winston, and Brate last year, so I tried to watch them when I could, and I really thought Brate was underrated. Rookie tight ends usually don't go off too much year 1 though. It's early.

AJ Green ripping up the Buffalo secondary. 99 yards and a TD already.

Looks like we know which 0-4 team is worse, Chargers or Giants.
