So many bought into this bullshit about this 2017 Jets team being one of the worst rosters in recent NFL history. So many here bought into it too.

    Wake up, Dorothy.

This is a competitive football team and a fun team to watch.

I'm starting to buy into the hype. Harbaugh and the Ravens were severely jetlagged and playing poorly again today. But this Jaguars team absolutely destroyed them.

Imagine we compete for a wild card berth...

We're playing with house money and while we may screw up getting Rosen I will say that it's fun to watch a young competitive team on Sundays.

I don't care about Rosen, Allen, Darnold, this team needs a lot more than a QB and the draft for the position is exceptionally deep. Darnold has had an off year, so too has Allen, however, both can be chalked up to their supporting cast in a lot of ways.

You play the games you try to win the games, period.

Another thing, I have never been a huge fan of Bowles and this staff, however, he's winning me over because it is obvious this team plays hard for him and this staff.

I said minimum 6-wins months ago, I'll stick with that, however, they could go 7-9 or even 8-8.

That may or may not happen, but it is far from the point.

Many (maybe even you) thought this would be train wreck city, you saw no talent, the worst offense ever, and obviously, you don't work in a football operations department for very good reasons.

This is about turning the page, changing the culture, growing as a football team on a week by week basis, and being a competitive football team.

Enjoy the journey, this team is playing its ass off right now.

Darnold has excellent supporting cast for the record, even though they were banged up last week.

We could end up looking at Lamar Jackson anyways.

But I've always been in the grouping that roots for them to win games every week. I want a good draft pick of course but I can't root for them to lose.

The offensive line looks like they're gelling and playing well today. Only fitting on a day we put Kevin Mawae in the ring of honor.

The defense is flying around and laying the wood.

Stop, you're not going up against an amateur. He was missing 3 starting OL against Wazzu, including his LT.

No thank you on Lamar Jackson. Falk, Thorson, Mayfield, Rudolph, all better than Jackson.

Now go back to rooting for the Jets.

I wanted to win heading into the season but after our 0-2 start i bought into the tank hype. But not anymore. This team showed me life last week against Miami and that competitive fight gave me life as a fan and today i am so happy with our fight.

    This. Team. Is. Not. TANKING!

These kids want to win & they're playing with fire too. It's fun to see.

I got a huge kick out of the media pushing that narrative earlier this year, then watching as the majority of the fan-base bought into this Tanking bullshit.

Ain't no Tanking here...go elsewhere for that bullshit.

This reminds me in a way of the Walt Michaels led Jets back in the late 1970's...fun to watch, getting better each week.

Well I predicted they would win 5 games...I'm not sure the schedule will allow them to improve on that. Still need to see improvement with the OL and DL lines and LB's

This team sucks and they are one win over Cleveland away from setting themselves back another 15 years. All I care about is winning a Super Bowl. It is almost impossible to win a Super Bowl in the modern day NFL without an Pro Bowl caliber QB. Does drafting a QB with the #1 overall pick guarantee you will get a Pro Bowl caliber QB? No, of course not. It just makes it far, far, far more likely that you will. And a competently run organization would do everything in it's power to put itself in the position most-likely to result in a Pro Bowl caliber QB. Nothing else matters. Nothing.

Here is the rebuilding process in the NFL ...

Do you have a Pro Bowl caliber QB? No? Then you're rebuilding. Yes? Then you're a Super Bowl contender.

A competently run NFL football team should consider itself in one of two states: (1) Competing for a Super Bowl with it's Pro Bowl caliber QB, or (2) Tanking to put itself in the position most-likely to result in drafting a Pro Bowl caliber QB.

Of the 24 QBs taken #1 overall since Namath, only 7 never made a Pro Bowl. And that includes Goff (essentially a rookie), Plunkett (who was a Super Bowl MVP), and Jeff George (who led the league in passing yards in 1997 and could have been an MVP in 1999).

And what's his excuse for his poor play the rest of the year? His line is still better with backups than UCLA's line has been this year.

Lose the attitude bro. No reason to be a jerkoff.

Team is playing with hunger, playing their asses off, and we get this moron saying they suck. Hey, amigo? If you were expecting 0-16, 1-15, 2-14, 3-13, 4-12...you may put those dreams to bed right now, son.

If you think he hasn't been stellar this entire season, you haven't been watching the games. The only USC game I haven't seen this year was Wash St, but in the rest of them, he has looked like Joe Montana. He looks better than Luck did when he was in college, and it's not even close.

I was expecting 5-11. I was hoping for 0-16. But that's because I want to see the team win a Super Bowl in my lifetime and I gain no more enjoyment from a 5-11 season than I do from a 2-14 season.

Disagree, his accuracy is questionable, he's played very little football, Falk is a better overall QB.

What games have you been watching? He has 8 picks this season through 5 games. Luck had 10 his entire senior year. Luck completed 71.3 percentage of his passes, Darnold only 64.6.

    He has 9 touchdowns/8 picks..

Luck was the far superior player. Darnold has made a lot of bad decisions this year and forced some balls because he trusts his arm too much.

Again, I'll ask. What games have you been watching?

Okay, fair enough, but then place yourself inside the mind of a competitive NFL player. You expect them to lie down in the face of such negative perceptions? This team is playing with a chip, it's refreshing. Jets are not that far away from being a playoff team again. You do NOT NEED a first round QB to make it to the SB. Wanna check the draft positions of SB participating QB's over the years?
