GO fight in the BS forum already ya two dimwits. Hijacking our damn potential future franchise quarterbacks game thread with this nonsense! Tonight should be a good barometer for Darnold. He's missing his left tackle, WR Deontay Burnett will likely play, while fifth year senior WR Steven Mitchell is out. Nearly every other receiver is featured in the injury report. RB Ronald Jones will play. Not sure how good Washington States defense is, but they are ranked 16. Should be a good test. Luke Falk plays in Leach's gimmicky air raid offense. But he's also closing in on the PAC-12 touchdown record and leads the nation in completion percentage. He makes all the right throws, which is the first read usually, but still. Kid was a walk on.
Great first drive by Darnold, I thought he missed on a few throws, but just excellent decision making and pocket presence.
Watching Darnold again tonight. Either pressure is getting to him or he isn't anything special. Yes he is showing some good things but for 2 weeks in a row, I am not impressed. Never watched Rosen though.
if you are going to make that throw, you will need to put a lot more mustard on it. Easy pickings by the DB. Underthrown.
Check out the Rosen thread, but yeah some of us prefer Rosen to Darnold. Though I would still take both.
Rosen is the best QB so far for the Jets - in addition to his physical abilities, he has the moxie and mentality to play in NY>
Dear USC coach. A lot of Jet fans are awake and watching Darnold. I know you have a game plan and all but stop running the ball. Let Darnold air it out. It is getting late in here damn it.
It's odd because that's a throw a quarterback makes when he trusts his arm strength. Yet he took something off of it. Most of his mistakes aren't exactly terrible reads but they're just balls where he thinks he can throw the ball by anyone. The seam route interception last week gave me that feeling.
Almost just threw another one. This kid is confusing. I'm really favoring Rosen over him at this point. Didn't trust Darnold enough to throw on 3rd and goal????
I think the pressure is getting to Darnold - all the attention. He just needs to forget all the "noise" and play. Easier said than done though.
You in Honolulu? I have a 5 hour layover there on my way from Singapore to New York on November 11. Worth to get out of the airport and drink a beer?
