So you'd settle for 5-10 years more of mediocrity? I'd rather roll the dice as I've seen too many mediocre meaningless seasons to actually want more. "Fortune favors the bold..."
C man I want a championship as much as you but I'll tell ya one thing that tanking won't get us a super bowl
My point is that we could land a future HOF Quarterback anywhere in the top 10 of the draft or heck anywhere in the first round ... its all about how we develop him and we sure as hell know this team has no clue in that department so I'll take what I can get a win is a win
But it will at least give us a better shot at one of the pieces. Parity was meant to make every team competitive which by definition means mediocre. It hasn't worked out that way. Until we get a FQB, we're not winning shit and unless the Jets get lucky, and the Jets never are lucky, perennially picking in the middle rounds will not get us elite talent. Now Macc could fck up the pick anyway and that would be a very Jetsy thing to happen.
Well are these the real NYJs who played like champs yesterday or is the last 2 games the real NYJs who played like garbage?
no reason to be upset about this. The tank is still on. You don't want to go 0-16 and if you are going to win a game or two beating the Fish is the very best one to get would suck worse to be a fish fan. they are actually trying to win and they were just railroaded by the worst Jets team in decades. And their QB is Jay Cutler hahaha
I was more surprised as to how awful the fish are. This Jets team is awful, can't blame them if they beat a team that sucks just as much.
The thing about being as bad as people here want us to be is more often than not those teams stay at the bottom. Nobody questions that our roster sucks. That said, we saw that there ARE some pieces on the team that are winners despite their surroundings. We have something to build on, something most worst teams in the league can't say. When the draft comes, if our scouts evaluate one of these QBs to be "the one" then move heaven and earth to trade for them. Otherwise, let's not train the few building blocks we do have to become perpetual losers. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
What do you want them to do? The players will never throw a game. Miami was so bad, I'm not sure the Jets could have lost if they tried lol.
In any sense, in any season 1-15 gets you the #1 pick. 0-16 only happened once ever so let's not be stupid. Usually anywhere between 2-4 wins gets you in the top 5. In 2015, the worst record int he league was 3-13. From 2010 to 2014 it was 2-14. Every now and then you see a 1-15 team, but 2-14 is actually the most common worst record. There are even seasons where the worst record was 4-12. So if the Jets beat Miami once or twice and lose to everyone else? I'll take it.
I unfortunately could not watch the game in Poland. But a lot of players did well from what I've read. That's the positive I take from the game. Seeing improvement in players against better teams shows hope for the future. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
