Lots on the news about Florida, of course, but the devastation along the coast of South Carolina and in Georgia seems to not come up much (my sister and brother-in-law live in SC, which is how I found out about it). Storm surge really did a lot of damage in SC - more than in Miami Beach, apparently.

JOSE,,,Jose-Jose-Jose-------------HO-ZAY -----HO-ZAY ! Lots of time and things are going to happen and change but models are moving more west and this damn troff from Irma might move out faster and not kick HO ZAY out to sea,,,,,,,,am I mistaken ?

96L (the western most) is a mess and it will take some time to become a tropical cyclone. 97L (the eastern most) is much more organized and likely will be upgraded to a Tropical Storm or a Tropical Depression soon.97L looks like it's forming an eye already.

 

And with any storm comes the idiots in the aftermath. These guys got busted trying to steal a huge power pole. At least they were thinking safety first and had a flag on the back of it.

 

Each time the models run the scenario is more West,,,,,,,almost time to sound the alarms for Jose ?

 

Hahaha, that's jville, those scrappers will take anything they can. Vital to the community though because you don't have to spend money to get rid of old appliances

 

Same here, always a dozen Craigslist ads to remove old appliances. Seen a bunch of those down in my travels yesterday, surprised I didn't see more trucks with them on the top.

 

Shit.... I just scrapped a bunch of metal from my home remodel... (Garage doors, AC, etc).... you'd think I was trying to join the CIA with all the ID's, paperwork, etc..... just to get $60

Latest GFS has three storms making US landfall in the next two weeks (Jose in Rhode Island/Massachusetts on 9/20, and then a storm in South Carolina on 9/26 [see stinky's picture above] and one in Florida on 9/28). Euro has the first two more east over the ocean.

 

Jose is coming to NJ, just you wait.

 

These weather models are amazing,,,,,,,,lets see what happens but they show HO ZAY very close and as you said 2 more up his ass,,, Lee and Maria

This thing could actually happen,,,,ps HO ZAY to quote Ralph Kramden is now " A HURRICANE ", the NWS upgraded Jose to a hurricane a few hours ago.

 

I can keep posting it but it'd be overkill. Tuesday night. Stock up this weekend.

 

Hopefully all 3 just stay way off the coast, maybe some surge to deal with but better than landfall. Been enough damage already. Driving though Lakeland yesterday you could hardly see the houses from so much storm debris piled up along the roadways, some spots won't have power for weeks yet. Not just wooden power poles but concrete poles also just snapped in half like twigs.

 

so, latest euro and gfs keep jose juuuuust off the coast of jersey. and then the next storm hitting charleston at 945mb at landfall.
expect jay to start paying attention to that one, euro has it hitting more around north carolina/virginia area.

 

so a few models backed off and went east but the Euro and Ukmet went west ,,,,,,go figure,,,,,ps the models are also showing a STUPID ASS solution for next week with HO ZAY still hanging around and the next system ridiculously close to him and the coast,,,thoughts ?

 

Wait, I'm supposed to fly to Europe Wednesday night. This...could be not awesome.
