The defense has had 9 straight first round picks used on it and it looks like shit. All the prior Jet’s HCs were defensive coaches to including the current and the defense planning still looked pathetic. The Offense has no WR or TE that would be starting on any other team yet we throw the ball more than run it. The offensive line is a joke and the worst rated in the NFL. The GM and HC came here and were given a HUGE cap surplus to use on building the team and the team looks horrible. The best thing that can happens is for the team to go 0-16 and blow the whole thing up. The Jets need to bring in a proven coach, no more first time experiments. The last HC we had who had actually been a HC prior was Bill Belichick, for 1 day in 1999.

This team doesn't have the talent to win more than 1-2 games quite honestly, losing to another team in the bills who will likely win 4-5 games means that the Jets are going to be in the drivers seat in regards to who they want to be QB. But its not only about the pick, its who will be making the pick, and what coaching staff will be coaching the high pick QB. I've gotten to the point where I can safely say I want the Jets to clean house. I don't trust Macc to surround the QB with talent, and I don't trust Bowles enough to coach the talent.
What did you expect? A win? You spend the whole first paragraph complaining about the team's performance and then say the best the thing is to go 0-16. Well you're 1/16 the way there, so cheer up. I thought the team played pretty well for a team bereft of talent. They made Buffalo earn all the points they got. There were no silly point giveaways like we got with Fitz last year and Geno three years ago. There were no stupid roughing or unsportsmanlike penalties. There were no fumbled punts or kickoff returns. No dropped passes, no clock mismanagements and no substitution confusion. The Jets played a disciplined game against a home team that had a slight edge in talent.
When is Woody going to sell this team? The guys not even busy being an owner he'd rather be the UK ambassador. Smh.
This was an Important one to lose. If you are going to tank you have to be worse than the team with 2 first round picks. Onto the next one!!!!
Mcclown did his job. Didn't embarrass us. Kept it mildly interesting. Spread it around so we can see all the new targets. And then blew it on the end to keep the tank job
Macc and Blowes will find a way to fuck this pick up. Either the BPA will be yet another defensive player OR they'll trade out of the top draft spot and get perhaps several more 2nd rd picks that they will promptly pick another NT or DE. No way in hell will they draft a FQB since we already have one on the roster.
If we want our pick of QBs we need to have the first pick. Too many teams are willing to give away a pile of picks at the chance of a franchise QB.
They won't be here to make those kind of decisions quite frankly. No way in hell is Chris and Woody allowing any trade involving a #1 pick, or picking anything other than a QB. Ownership is dumb, but they won't be dumb when they recognize that no one is coming to the stadium. We will be picking #1 or #2 overall and it won't be Macc and Bowles at the helm when all is said and done.
